Seems more like match fixing to me.

    That's not sportsmanship, that's r****ded.

He absolutely did train to fight, maybe not against him specifically, but he is a trained fighter. If he is weaker, why not just ease up on him a little and still win, why do you have to give him a win he clearly didn't deserve.

See, this is why there are Olympic sports like curling. I mean you can still slip on the ice but in the end everyone parts as friends.

but he explains it. they don't get paid or anything. all he was doing was beating his ass. you clearly know whos the better fighter. hes looking at the bigger picture and didn't see what he gains from beating this guy to a pulp. pretty cool of the guy to do this. no problems with me

    No money in it.
Besides. This got that amateur fighter more global recognition than if he had just won.

Agreed. Did he respect or disrespect his opponent? One could argue the latter since he didn't think his opponent was worthy.

His opponent didn't give up and kept fighting. If the guy wanted to be classy he could have assumed a defensive stance for the remainder of the fight. Yes it would be boring but at least his opponent would have a chance to win/even the fight.

Even if he isn't getting paid, the loss goes on his fight record. Unless he doesn't even care about that- which in that case he should fight in his local gym and not competitively. This guy is making a mockery of the sport and I don't even care too much for MMA.

What a dummie. I would've roundhouse kicked him while he was on his knees. Fatality. I'm a champion, I have the kobe instinct.

He should have gone for the flawless victory.
