LOL at this barry is taking away our rights, do these wingers remember bush's stimulus plan, and taking away your rights by offering a gov't option for health care? how is that taking away your rights. oh I forgot he's going to kill granny
and Grandmas: April 29 (Bloomberg) — President Barack Obama said his grandmother’s hip-replacement surgery during the final weeks of her life made him wonder whether expensive procedures for the terminally ill reflect a “sustainable model” for health care.
^ basso, if a former sportscaster is correct in her prognostication, and the death panels are installed to take out the differently abled, I'll make sure you are bumped up to the front of the line, even ahead of her son Prop. It's the utilitarian thing to do.
“I don’t know how much that hip replacement cost,” Obama said in the interview. “I would have paid out of pocket for that hip replacement just because she’s my grandmother.” Obama said “you just get into some very difficult moral issues” when considering whether “to give my grandmother, or everybody else’s aging grandparents or parents, a hip replacement when they’re terminally ill. “That’s where I think you just get into some very difficult moral issues,” he said in the April 14 interview. “The chronically ill and those toward the end of their lives are accounting for potentially 80 percent of the total health- care bill out here.” basso forgot the link
For that matter where was all this outrage when the previous Admin. was undermining the 4th, 5th, and 6th Ammendments to the Constitution? I have my problems with many things the Obama Admin. has done but I find the hue and cry by many in the Right about Constitutional rights hollow when they vociferously pushed an agenda that undermined Constituational protections. For that matter there is nothing in the Constitution that addresses health care. If you are going to be a strict textualist there is no right to choosing your own health insurance.
^^^^ For real. I would love to hear some honest criticism, but so far I've seen nothing but lies, manipulation, and hypocrisy.
The guns don't sound like a problem apart from perhaps poor security measures. If you don't screen for guns at the door, you can expect someone will carry inside. The "debate" might get heated, but CHL holders probably get in arguments other places too.
I don't think they are a legal problem, but why have a gun at the townhalls anyway? The problem is that they feel they need to have one there.
It seems these people carry a gun normally. The question is why they decided not to leave it at home that day.
Twelve Carry Guns -- Including Assault Rifle -- Outside Obama Event Armed an ignorant! Gotta love America!
Well...during Reconstruction there was widespread resistance in the south against establishing public schools, hospitals, colleges and universities. I guess some things don't change for some people. Except back then the Republicans were the ones that fought for them.
Ummmm, I don't know...ask Abe Lincoln, JFK, or even Ronnie Reagan. Can you guess what they all have in common?
If that was really the problem, it would be illegal. The more the media gives these guys air time the more guys will show up. People will suck off rats to get on TV, of course they will bring guns.

I'm a supporter of gun rights, but these people were clearly either making a political statement by wearing them on their hip, where everyone could see them, something that had nothing to do with the purpose of the "town hall," or they were using them as a form of intimidation (some of these people were getting into heated arguments). In either case, they had the maturity level of a 13 year old and had no business carrying a weapon into such a forum. It is simply common sense, which clearly escaped them. As someone who was around when some of our greatest political leaders were gunned down, I find this behavior unacceptable. Even more unacceptable, to me, is that the Secret Service allowed them to do it. Are they crazy?
There you have it! via TPM – Armed Protestor: "We Will Forcefully Resist" And now the health-reform opponent carrying an AR-15 Assault Rifle (or perhaps the group he's affiliated with) has produced a Youtube video which leaves little question where they stand -- "We will forcefully resist people imposing their will on us through the strength of the majority with a vote.” <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/63GiXzpfGhA&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&hl=en&feature=player_embedded&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/63GiXzpfGhA&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&hl=en&feature=player_embedded&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
