As long as Lowry, Scola and Martin are on this team...we will never lose enough games to legitimately have a prayer at the number one pick. I don't think anyone here truly understands how bad you have to be to finish in the bottom 3, to give yourself good odds. People think we can just tank by picking up long-term prospects in this draft and not adding any piece, get it straight, we will need to get rid of at least two of the 3 above to have a good shot because role and bench players are too good right now. That's why the Timberwolves, Wizards and Nets are down at the bottom every year. They have some decent starters, they are just backed with absolute crap players and coaches.
LMAO. I think it would do better than that. I just was commenting on the defensive potential. That's all.
Ellis is intriguing, because he's so damn good at scoring. Martin's more efficient, but Ellis can create shots for himself when it counts. I wouldn't give up too much for Ellis, but if it was Martin for Ellis straight up, I'd do it. As for Iggy and Granger, I'd trade Scola + fillers for either. Clears up space for Patterson to develop and hopefully we can find a center. Out of the three, I think granger makes the most sense. He doesn't need to dominate the ball, and he can play stretch minutes at the 4. As for the center...it's obvious Bogut's the choice here. He's the defensive anchor we need. He isn't a superstar, but he's the best offensive and defensive player out of the three.
I'd get Ellis and make him the number one option on the team scoring 30+ points per game for his first invitation to the all-star game. All this while we lose 60 games next season. Lowry Ellis Williams Patterson Rookie C Any other player is just stop-gap while leading us to the promised land of the 9th seed.
