I agree, but tanking against the Jazz could land them a first round series with Utah without home court. Last time they played in Utah, they got spanked 90-64. I think the Spurs need to try to win tomorrow night and let the chips fall where they may.
you are correct. mattj = Matt Jackson a very valuable resource for us here. thanks for the clarification matt.
I am little troubled with the start times of the games: Clippers-Rockets 8:30 PM Jazz-Spurs 9:30 PM Blazers-Suns 10:00 PM Should these three games be rescheduled so they start at the same time? Potentially, the Suns could tank their game if it benefits them. Jazz and Spurs will have a pretty good idea if the Rox won or not. Does not seem fair to Houston.
I already said it through email, but it must be said again... Thanks for the clarification. Nice to have a definitive answer.
Because considering how the spurs have been playing recently (and how the suns match up against them) they may rather play SA than Houston. Regardless, if houston wins, they are not going to have homecourt. But even if they would rather play Houston, the first round matchup up is not the only factor. They might prefer a San Antonio + New Orleans road to the conference finals over a Houston + LA
I sort of agree. San Antonio is the worst of the three and despite what happened last game vs. SA, I think they Rockets matchup better against the spurs. That said, I think HC means a ton in the playoffs and I think I would rather play phoenix w/ HC than SA on the road. i'm not so sure about playing Utah with HC though.
