I have the feeling that Clutch might not want to head this up. I don't think a lot of people would be too keen on donating to anyone outside of Clutch. At the same time if he doesn't head it up, I'm not sure it'll work. Any thoughts guys? Should we buy a URL? KeepRudy.com? WeWantRudy.com? Etc...
You know what? I was lukewarm to this idea but it could be fun. It would garner some major publicity - I'm talking national pub. I mean, a team's fanbase chips in to get a full page ad in a major market's paper (one that has a monopoly in that market to boot). something like: 18,189 Clutchfans Members agree! This trade sucks! (don't know if "sucks" would make it in though)

I hate this trade, but I am not going to go for this. The Rockets have made their decision and I want no part of alienating Shane Battier, who is a stand-up guy and like it or not, will be a part of this team.
we need a creative, responsible, and proactive clutchfan to take the lead on this...i for one am too lazy, but maybe we can set up a bank account at a place like washington mutual that has free checking and post all the account info on here and then we can all put $ in that account and we also need some drafts of a possible ad so that we can get the ball rolling on what we're gonna say...the sooner the better, because it's going to take time for all of us to agree on what the ad is going to say...some of the emails sent to the rockets in this thread - http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=114474&page=1&pp=20 - should give us a good start
I am ready to chip in. I have some loose change in my paypal account that I can send immediately to the designated collection point. If for nothing else for the fun of it and to promote our great site. P.S. While I was walking around at the TC during the draft party, I wondered who there was a fellow Clutchfan. Why don'twe have Clutchfans t-shirts and other memorabilia? At least that way we could identify ourselves easily at games and other events. Or do we already have one already? I used to have a connection with someone who said they could supply loads of stuff like that for really cheap from Asia.
