if trump could just snub the slave owning dalai lama for making fun of his hair and mouth it would be brilliant and please the PRC. trump trump trump
/liblogic States 'China is smart enough to behave smartly' then freaks out about China's feelings and the ramifications if they throw a temper tantrum because Trump took a 10 minute congratulatory phone call You can't have both of those
Not understanding you. Believing that China will behave smartly = there isn't much of anything to freak out. It's illogical to think that China behave smartly = freak out.
The phone call was arranged beforehand. It's not like Trump was sitting around and accidentally picked up on a robocall offering cheap credit cards or Microsoft "help." The fact that he makes a big deal about who called who just reinforces the idea that he is a fool. Then, he compounds that by Tweeting about the arms deal, which is a topic everyone gets around by conveniently forgetting about. Now, the President-elect of the United States has called attention to it. And let's not forget that the day before, he had a call with Pakistan that pissed of India.
I don't see this as a big deal. Trump is trying to use Taiwan as leverage. But it can't be used as leverage as China can blockade taiwan or even invade and the U.S. Could not do anything about it.
Trump has a phone call with a democratically elected leader. Meanwhile, Hillary supporters gasp in astonishment that Trump did not instead choose to call the non-democratically elected "core" leader of some other country. Amazing: Hillary and her supporters are apparently champions of human rights, yet throwing gays off buildings and snubbing democratically elected leaders is perfectly cool.
Liberals are huge hypocrites. That's clear. All they want to do is launch into their canned desired narrative that Trump is an idiot. Meanwhile Hillary and Barack's foreign policy was an absolute disaster.
Ohhhh, coz I was like, "Dei dropping the Tao!" The **** is a p***y is yet a ****. Kerblam! [mental short circuit]. But then I was like, "Dei Zen sensei, G! He all: "Sensei said unto the disciple: 'Get thee unto thy cave, and there meditate until thou canst tell the answer to this koan: "Thou art a **** and a p***y.'" Mad respect up the ass, D. U.S.A. 1776 until . . .
I admit that it could certainly be confirmation bias. To me it sounded like he was was trying to defend the call by saying that it was no big deal and that he didn't see any reason to not pick up the call.
You can be whatever depending on your actions; but if you had something more worthwhile to say you wouldn't be obsessing on the figures of speech. I wouldn't rule out the possibility, absolutely, aye. But, we'll see. However, that the left has a confirmation bias about him is undeniable. They just can't be called qualified judges of fact, at this point.
IDK but Taiwan is in a hot mess situation and people are regretting voting for her in the first place.
Ha! Ha! Listen to this ****! Quit making such responses, or you'll be a p***y! (Is that how you do it, Dad?)
Explanation already done plenty in this thread. There is nothing wrong with congratulating anything, democratically elected or not in and of itself without any other considerations (like understanding history, procedures, how things work in the real world, relationships, the kind of things that you would expect our leaders to have some good sense of). And I'm pretty sure no one said there is a preference to "call non-democratically elected leaders of some other country". Simply put, Trump very most likely acted out of ignorance. That's A. Criticizing A (Trump act of ignorance) doesn't mean B (B = there is a preference to call non-democratically elected leaders).
What on earth are you talking about? The fact that the U.S. sells military arms and has done so to Taiwan but manages to go through complicated means in order not to have diplomatic relations with Taiwan while maintaining them with Mainland China, and Trump didn't understand that and screwed up, shows why Trump was elected President? That makes no sense. Also I didn't mention Trump being elected for being xenophobic or racist. Why are you bringing that up in a post in which you have a quote for me, that has nothing to do with that? I can't have a discussion unless we are going to have one that makes sense. Actually I can, but at least let me know ahead of time that we will be having that kind of discussion.
