Taco Bell still has the Frito Burrito...well at least the ones I go to in Austin (on Riverside and the Taco Bell at the UT campus.)
I go to Taco Bell about twice a week for lunch. I like getting their steak quesadilla and nachos. The great thing about Taco Bell is that is hot food fast and cheap.
People say Taco Bell is cheap, but it takes a lot to fill you up so it isn't cheap in the end. What do you say to them?
A steak quesadilla, nachos, and a water cost me only $2.95 whereas a hot ham and swiss sub, medium fries, and water from Arby's cost me over 5 bucks. Yes, the stuff from Arby's keeps me filled up longer than the stuff from Taco Bell, but it is not by a large margin. I am just speaking for myself, but it doesn't take a lot to fill me up.
I say shut up and quit dissin' my Taco Bell. Then I punch them in the mouth and run away. Actually, I don't eat at Taco Bell that often. I've found it relatively cheap as fast food places go, but it does depend on what you get.
I can't eat Taco Bell that often, it causes some awful chain reactions. When I do though... 2 Bean Burritos 1 Soft Taco or a Grilled Stuffed Burrito by itself. Man I remember when the soft tacos/tacos/burritos where .39 cents. With 3 dollars you could gorge yourself.
Anyone remember doing the penny test? Take a dirty penny..one that is more brown than gold. Open a Taco Bell Hot Sauce package. Drop the penny into it. Wait for 3 minutes. (If you know the whole Macarena song sing it in its original tempo and the timing is perfect!) Empty it onto the table and clean the sauce off of your shiny new penny.
Anyone remember the Cheesarito? I loved these things in high school. I was pissed when they took them off. And then I found out how they make them... You get them to put cheese, onions, chives, tomatoes, and Mexican pizza sauce in a tortilla, and then heat it up meximelt style. They Rock!!
Oh gross!! You know I needed that mental picture. Meximelts rock!..I used to have at least 3 of em till I decided to cut down on how much I eat.. When I go to TB, I normally get a chicken quesadilla, soft taco, and 2 meximelts....with a big sloshing glass of Code Red! Woo hoo...almost as good as the legendary Taco Bueno ( which we don't have down here anymore)
I go through taco bell phazes. I typically eat there all of the time untill i get sick of it and then dont go back for quite a while. I havent eaten there since December but this tread is making me want to stop by there tommorow. Also, does anyone remeber when they had fries back in '94 or so. They were amazing. Rockets2K, Taco Bueno is much better. Unfortunatly they also dont have them were i live
How come taco bell sour cream tastes so good? I know they shoot it out of a gun, but I doubt that plays into the taste factor. Someone tell me the secret.
I can't tell you their secret behind their sour cream, but I can tell you the secret behind their beans. Preprocessed bean flakes and a pot of boiling water. How the hell bean flakes can taste that good, I'll never know.
