Holy crap, I saw the chase! I was on the Beltway near the 45 exit this afternoon on my way to UH, and I saw a BMW speed by with 4 cop cars behind. I was thinking they were heading to the airport for an emergency there.
The BMW driver was driving all over Houston. BW8, 290, I45, 59, I10, etc. No joke. The BMW went the wrong way down an entrance ramp, missed three or four cars, then hit the other car head-on. Lady jumped out the passenger side, jumped on the hood of her car, and yelled at the BMW driver. Then she went to the rear driver side door, opened it, and pulled out a baby seat. If there was a driver in the victim's car, he didn't get out. Live TV coverage ended then. BMW driver couldn't get out of his car and popped up through the sunroof, where he was apprehended at gunpoint. Supposedly the family that was hit, were Katrina evacuees. I didn't catch the whole thing, just the last bit.
Whatever. Had that lady not have been trying to cut around the other cars, she wouldn't have been hit. Cutters get what they deserve. It was her fault.

The lady who got hit was from New Orleans. They came to Houston from New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. Thats sad. Her husband was on Fox 26 a while ago and said she and their baby are fine. Ironically, her and her babies name is Katrina Chase.
OMG Oh... ok... I am so relieved it's not something silly like Tekeela or Lo-Keeta. I swear to God, I saw people with those names. That is just sad to go through life with a name like that.
i'm in austin so if anyone can find some video footage....POST IT! i noticed that too, thank goodness. you know there are A LOT of stay at home moms or just unemployed people VERY upset about missing passions.
