Had we drafted Gay, we would already have tracy's replacement. DD, u still think any of our wings are better than gay?
I would do a Scola, McGrady, Dorsey deal for Al Jefferson and the expiring contracts of Mark Blount and Brian Cardinal. Seems good for both teams.
Kahn was probably watching TMac with amazement at what a jackass he was being by playing dress-up and distracting the team.
I LOVE BATTIER'S DEFENSIVE STANCE........... it gives me an erection each time I see Battier and his "defensive stance" but the erection is quickly driven down by the guy (rudy gay) driving right past him for a driving slam dunk
Yes. His career 13.8 points on 42% shooting against the Rockets really gets me all hot and bothered. I also envy his 4 rebounds per, his 1 assist per, and his 13 to 28 assist to turnover ratio. And on top of that, he plays no defense, and has zero intangibles, superb. That said, I would not mind having him now, but Battier was worth it IMO...
Hmmm that seems like a sweet deal if Minny is considering a rebuilding mode.. They can't rebuild with those toxic assets. I say it's an equal deal.
Those "toxic assets" have expiring contracts. That deal is essentially Scola + insurance money for their franchise player. If that trade was offered one hundred times by the Rockets, it would be declined one hundred times by the Wolves.
The coach and GM that make the decision are seeing him in practice every single day. That is why he is sitting, stop listening to what Mr. Peter crying wolf is saying and start listening to what the trustworthy people are saying. DD
LOL, I never believed the Wolves would be in interested in any offer from the Rockets for Jefferson. I just disagreed with you that they wouldn't want McGrady.
They wouldn't want McGrady, 't'is true. I do think that Kahn might be interested in McGrady's progress should McGrady help him net a good player in a 3-way trade. I won't overspeculate on that, but, say, a good wing player that returns us an expiring contract and Rubio. I can't see Morey giving up on Operation Ricky-Quest so easily, if he was so hot after him last summer. Sure, Rubio won't be around for another couple seasons, but as the second guard (6'3" or 6'4", whatever he is) in those 2-PG combos that Adelman likes so much, plus all the Rubio jerseys that Les would sell.... Etc etc.
Forget McGrady. We'll use him in another trade to get a stud SG. But, for those that want Rubio's rights, how about doing this? Houston sends AB to NY. NY sends Chandler to Minnesota. Minnesota sends Pecherov/Rubio's rights to Houston. NY gets an instant upgrade at PG. Minnesota gets a legitimate upgrade at the SF position. Houston gets an up & coming athletic center & the rights to Rubio. Add draft picks where needed.
He did say add draft picks where needed, it might not be too far off. Hell, we have about 50 unsigned foreign-league 2nd-rounders that might add up to something, throw in some of them. Or add Jermaine Taylor, we can't pretend we're actually going to play him anyway.
