Going through reading the thread, I start to think, man it would be awesome if we could get Al for Mcgrady somehow. Then I read your post and get brought back down to earth. Damnit.
Because to get TMc to Minny a great start is to have him in Minny. That franchise needs a swift boost, something to give them relevance. Something to create buzz. It would be a brilliant move by Kahn to trade for McGrady and give up nada but Sessions, the invisible guy (for two years, at least) and expirings. What's the worst that happens - TMc walks next summer; along with his 23+mil?
Yao + T-Mac for Big Al + Blount + Rubio. Why not let another team worry about when Yao will get hurt every year.
Why are people bringing up trades? It's obvious that Kahn's looking at TMac for the offseason rather than this season. I'd expect him to go for younger players. But maybe he thinks the team needs a more veteran presence. And that TMac's value this offseason is going to be quite low.

Your telling me you would trade for a guy we have no need for in Kevin Love?? Scola and Landry are playing their asses off and you want to mess that up so you can experiment with Kevin Love?? Just to let you know the guy is hurt so on top of that you want to get rid of one of our players for a guy who isn't playing. Kevin Love is Younger, Has more potential, and is the miles better passer than both. Just an idea to dump Tracy away. I really don't think he has anything left in the tank anymore. Healthy or not healthy, he doesn't have the mentality or toughness to be a leader for this team either. Like said and done, if a deal that can't be benefited for us be made, just let his contract expire. T-Mac's run with Houston is over, like it should have been a while ago.
I know it's not possible, but kevin Love would be a great fit for this team Great rebounder, excellent passer, can shoot, great high post player. And he's young. Insurance in case Scola or Landry move on or are needed to make big trade. But we won't get him.
If the Rockets trade T-Mac, then we are gonna tank. Hes the only hope of saving the team this season.
blount isn't too bad actually, decent rebounder and i think he's got a short jumper too, not sure what his contract looks like though..

i dont think they want to trade for him either, but i can't see them wanting him as a FA either, they've let go of all significant vets in one way or another and are building a huge youth movement.
i think tmac retires before signing with the wolves via FA, there's too much hype surrounding his return and questions about his career for him to settle for being a one man scoring machine on a bad team. No playoffs, no rings, no glory, no nothing.
