Would love to acquire Jonny Flynn or maybe even Corey Brewer. But I doubt any serious deal will be made here. The Rockets might be better off testing T-mac one more time.

Any deal with the wolves is centered around Rubio. The rest are fillers.

I'll never catch you up again so I'm retiring a winner - 'cause you'll be right the next 99 times. Or more. ;)

IMO, a deal with T-Wolves would only happen if it bolsters their current team now. It would be the T-Wolves trading a future asset/s for McGrady.

Perhaps you didn't realize that the money that is collected from the teams over the luxury tax is split amongst the teams that aren't. That is the "pot" he is referring to. No need to be an ass just because, as you admitted, you didn't know what he was talking about. This pot is split by the total number of teams in the league, therefore there is usually a difference after the pot has been paid out. This remaining amount goes into a general fund that can then be used to help out financially struggling franchises. For example, 6 teams are over the luxury tax and pay 60 million collectively. That means 2 million goes out to the other 24 teams. The remaining 12 million goes into the general NBA fund.

No way we get Jefferson for McGrady. But if somehow that happened... our potential would be through the roof (again). Jefferson is a top 3 center.

Cardinal yeah but Blount maybe not. We can use him. We need someone with height really bad.

Jefferson would never fit with Yao clogging the lane.

Wolves aren't trading Jefferson, and they're in no hurry to trade a 19 year old Rubio who is going to get better as he matures.

People are dreaming if they think Big Al would be part of any deal for Tmac. At best we get Rubio, Cardinal, Blout for Tmac.

It would be sweet if the Rockets could get Kevin Love in the deal instead. He's heavily underrated, Great hustle and energy guy something we never got out of Mcgrady. This would be a nice deal....

Tracy + Scola or Landry (Whoever they want) for Love + Brewer.

Is a starting 5 of Flynn, McGrady, Gomes/Brewer, Love, Jefferson playoff material in the West?

Why would the Wolves, who won't be making the playoffs, even want to trade for McGrady? If they want him, they wait until the season is over and make him an offer. It's not like he'll lead them to the playoffs this year.

    How naive.

Nobody cares about Yao or Memac anymore. The tiny chance of Yao being healthy isn't something you should bank on.

Do people here realize that the Wolves expect to have a lot of cap room NEXT SUMMER. Why wouldn't Kahn's interest in T-Mac be more with an eye towards 2010 free agency? That makes MUCH more sense to the Wolves than trading in-season for McGrady? Why give up assets when you could get him for nothing (except money) come July?

Depends on McGrady's play. If he can still play at a high level (20+,5+,5+), probably.

IMO, Blount + Cardinal + Wilkins + draft pick or rights to an overseas player for McGrady is they type of deal the Rockets could be looking at.

Their 1 win better than the Nets and Flynn's being outplayed by Sessions after a hyped start.

I can't believe people here think the Wolves would trade Al Jefferson for Tracy McGrady.
