LOL @ you guys who really think the Wolves would consider adding Al Jefferson to try to get McGrady. Hmmmmm.
Al ainta gonna be traded. NO HOW. But, a deal starting with Sessions and Rubio I'm aboard with. Minny would want TMc to create some legitimacy and buzzzzzzzz to their moribundity. Sessions/Rubio/Cardinal/Blount work even with Blount or Cardinal(or Cook) having to be bought out immediately (because of roster size limitations) and works for me.
No Big Al. Bottom line: Ricky Rubio Ideal Scenario: Tracy McGrady + Shane Battier for Big Al + Ricky Rubio + Marc Blount + Brian Cardinal But thats not gonna happen. So Shane Battier + Chase Budinger for Ricky Rubio + a rubbish contract we need Rubio much more!!!
not unless we include brooks or lowry in the deal or another deal right after,, otherwise we could screw ourselves over by stacking up pgs without having other deals in place to cover the hole at SG.
Trade Fail. but you did say its not gonna happen but i just want to let you know we do have 14 players. No way this trade is even possible.
David Kahn is precisely the type of incompetent GM that Morey should be able to undress in trade talks like this. If management decides to move McGrady, I sure as hell hope the other guy on the end of the phone is going to be somebody senseless like Kahn.
Before people say no Al Jefferson, please remember this is Kahn were talking about. The dude picked 2 PGs in the lottery and signed another....anything is possible
No. Since Pops made the Rockets' regular season roster, his contract became partially guaranteed for $50,000. However, because he was waived prior to December 22, the rest of his contract was unguaranteed. So, for luxury tax purposes, Pops counts as $50,000 against the tax number.
We've always been having a hole to SG for as long as T-Mac has been out unless u consider Trevor Ariza a legit SG..which he is far from...so I reckon the SG situation could be addressed through the draft or if we don't get a good pick we definitely can pick up someone decent in Free Agency of 2010. I'd trade brooks to them except they already have Flynn and I don't want 2 PGs who can't shoot a 3 on our team. Its never a bad thing to have too many PGs right? Rubio won't be coming over until the end of 2011 so we'll have plenty of Brooks and Lowry double trouble. They did reject Brooks + Battier before so Im not sure how Brooks will help the deal any better.
The Rockets have an excellent young point guard tandem and a hell of a PF tandem. Minnesota doesn't make the most sense as a trading partner. People here tend to take what we have for granted.
but Rubio is better than anything we have at PG right now. You call AB as having superstar potential??
I think he's off the books completely for the Rockets. http://members.cox.net/lmcoon/salarycap.htm#Q54
Sessions would move in at the 2 primarily, and Rubio is absent until (at least) the start of '11-'12. BTW - this would position the Rox very well for a subsequent deal with Brooks or Lowry and an expiring and/or Battier for a studley by February.
Never mind. I forgot that the Raptors claimed him off waivers. I just remember that other teams with higher waiver wire priority were told NOT to claim him so that he could go to Toronto.
