ALLsportsINTEL Rich Smith NFL UPDATE - Tennessee Titans have reportedly contacted Agent Drew Rosenhaus in regards to WR Terrell Owens, will update.
Tennessee looks to be in a win now mode.... Isnt it depressing how at the time everyone knew Peyton was gonna be out awhile, The Texans were the consensus pick to finally catch a break and win the division?.... Now Tennessee feels they have just as much entitlement as us to take advantage of this opportunity....
This was posted this morning as likely to happen. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...ns-considered-brandon-lloyd-will-look-at-t-o/ They lost Kenny Britt and unlike Andre Johnson, he's out for the year, so the Titans definitely need some help at WR. The question is health and age (37 now) for T.O., plus you've got the whole team-killing attitude thing. I think he'd still make for a good #2. Not to derail this thread, but if the Titans win the division and the Texans miss the playoffs, it has to be Kubiak out the door.
In terms of the future, it may be worth it; but there is a second possibility: McNair gives him ANOTHER undeserved extension. That would definitely do it for me, but my interest might not even last that long.
Maybe washed up as far as a #1 receiver is concerned. He averaged 13.7 ypc last season...Andre Johnson's career average is 13.6. This shows that TO was still stretching the field last season. He also had 15 catches for 20+ yards and 3 for 40+...far more than AJ (7 for 20+ and 2 for 40+). I understand he's coming off an ACL injury, but if anyone can bounce back, he's always been a freak as far as being in shape and ready to go.
I never thought his diva personality was a good fit for Houston he would have an extremely short leash if we did...But youre right, right now it wont hurt to try something
2010 Cincinnati Bengals 14 (games) 72 (reps) 983 (yds) 9 (tds) -- hardly washed up. Here's the video I posted of him back in August... <embed flashvars="file=http://az24638.vo.msecnd.net/media/video/c4be721a-c696-4a0a-8f93-2002a08aa379.mp4?t=634487189925387045&skin=http://viddy.com/player/assets/skins/viddy.xml&logo.file=http://viddy.com/player/assets/skins/controlbar/logo.png&logo.link=http://az24638.vo.msecnd.net/media/video/c4be721a-c696-4a0a-8f93-2002a08aa379.mp4?t=634487189925387045&image=http://az24638.vo.msecnd.net/images/video/c4be721a-c696-4a0a-8f93-2002a08aa379.jpg?t=634487189925387045&logo.margin=20&logo.position=top-left&logo.over=1&logo.out = 0.8&logo.hide=false&controlbar.position=over" allowfullscreen="true" allowscripaccess="always" id="viddy-player-c4be721a-c696-4a0a-8f93-2002a08aa379" name="viddy-player-c4be721a-c696-4a0a-8f93-2002a08aa379" src="http://viddy.com/swf/player.swf" width="640" height="480" " /> Owens is crazy, but if anyone can come back 100% at 37 yo from a blown ACL it's this dude.
http://www.chron.com/sports/article/Agent-says-Owens-ready-to-play-2226859.php Owens also played for San Francisco, Philadelphia, Dallas and Buffalo. Among those teams short-handed at receiver are Tennessee, Houston, Jacksonville and Miami.[/QUOTE] Hmm????
In before Ric says we don't need him because we have Walters and Jones who are clearly better than him
I'd take him on the Texans. What we got to lose? It's a low risk/high reward. If he produces, great, if he even shows one ounce of cancer in the locker room or b****es about playing time, cut him loose.
I'm a TO fan but man he looks slow. Obviously he's not 100% in that video and it was shot a couple months ago but still he looks slow.
