I mean I hear what you're saying about foolishly thinking JJ > TO, but TO ain't that either, anymore.
But you cannot keep 6 WR's on the roster. So we would lose an actual asset for the future as most of our WR's have several CHEAP years of football in their future. With an actual salary cap do we really need to put more emphasis on the WR position?
it's hard to recap when i didn't even listen to it. i was passing it along based on second hand info, although, in the time it took you to reply, you probably could have listened to the entire interview.
Certainly - and that would be a good reason not to sign him. I'm just commenting on the idea that JJ is actually a better player than TO. I dunno - he struggled last year, but everyone on that offense did. They didn't have a good offense all around. You can see the impact of a good QB on a receiver looking at AJ with Carr vs Schaub. Prior to last year, TO was consistently a 1000+ yard receiver - that's about 25-30% of a team's passing yards and forces defenses to prioritize defending him.
The point is that for some of us listening is no an option. You could also easily say you didn't get to listen.
If he could accept the role as 2nd fiddle to Andre Johnson and could be had on the cheap I'm all for TO. He's not as washed up as everyone here seems to believe. He would be the 2nd most productive WR on this team.
Re-read my post. Walter wouldn't be here and Anderson would be our possession receiver. And Jones would be behind Owens and we can try and emulate what the Cardinals did their Super Bowl year...but we also have Daniels.
well I think he was very low key in buffalo, and not getting a contract, he could be matured a bit, but its a risk to have him because he could explode. In the field, he can give a lot of space to AJ and Owen Daniels, or if the defenders give him space he could still got something. If he come cheap, than is ok, so it could be a risk move, but it could be a good addition. With buffalo he had a bad QB, so with the texans he has a great QB
that's a lot of assumptions though. But still...Walter is in his prime and will be good for several years. TO would be a 1 year guy...2 at best. Walter, when all things considered, is a better value.
TO was very quiet last year and did not cause any problems for the bills. the guy seem genuinely thank full a team would let him play for them. now i know the bills dont get much attention at all these days and the spotlight would be a little bit bigger on him down here. he did put up decent numbers last year, and with the open looks he would get with all the attention aj and owen would be receiving. we do have a decent receiving core though so im not that sure we really need him...

You left out wrecking three clubhouses. But the point is what that assclown is worth now. And he's not worth ****.
I think TO got most of his bad wrap from the media over blowing the situation. I still remember when he was an Eagle and came back for the Superbowl after breaking his leg and putting up pretty good numbers. Terrell Owens and Chad Johnson are good friends. Andre and Chad are good friends. Its not a stretch to believe TO and Andre are good friends as well. I think TO is misunderstood, a hell of a lot better wideout than JJ, and can fill Andre Davis's spot on the team. This guy still has some wheels. I think we all saw that last year http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mi8f10TTNTM
