I got my HD2 on Thursday at the T-Mobile store on Westheimer and Yorktown.

I love this phone. Even though it's not Windows 7...I honestly don't care too much. It does exactly what I need, and I'm very happy with it.

Man I am on the fence. Can anyone tell me what is going to be so good about Windows Mobile 7?

Is is the improvement in the touch screen or what?

I'm due for an upgrade, so I think I might be getting this phone. Same concerns with Chilcutt tho, why all the fuss about it not having Windows 7.0?

I think 6.5 is mainly suited for business-type functionality while Windows Phone 7 is more family/user/multimedia friendly. Basically trying to compete with the current kings, Apple and Android. I've read that developing software for WP7 is even "easier" than developing for Apple. So when MS releases WP7 in a few months and rolls out all these cool apps, the HD2 won't be able to take advantage if it can't run WP7.

But if you don't care about stuff like new apps and new features, then you'd be fine with 6.5. Personally, I think "apps" make a phone more enjoyable. If I spend all this money on a phone, it better do more than place calls, send txt and take pictures. Here is an actual link that compares the two:

Don't look at like it as just a simple windows update that fixes bugs. Its like a fresh start.
