Glad to see that he is actively trying to return to form.....but as another poster suggested, I hope he isn't doing more than he is able to because that could set him back.
I read that too. I honestly think that is what happened to Amar'e Stoudemire when he came back early, and then had to get a arthoscopic surgery done on the other knee, and rehab again.
i have faith in Grover, he did a good job with Wade while he was coming back from his shoulder injury and I expect him to keep tmac in check and move him along accordingly... This is another reason why i keep saying tmac isn't likely to be traded. I'm sure morey and the rest of the staff can't help but wonder how tmac may come back. There's two things to look at here. One is how he comes back from the injury, as in, is he healed? And two is the shape he comes back in. If he's able to complete what Grover throws at him this summer, i think it's safe to say he's healed. Grover uses a lot of isolation movements, so you can be sure he had tmac working that knee individually...something i don't believe his old trainer did as much, so Tmac had trouble trusting that knee in games. This time he should have full confidence by the time he's ready to step on the court full speed. As for his overall shape, once again, grover's training is different from Tmac's old trainer. Expect Tmac to be in better physical shape than he's ever been. In that first picture alone he's got the best combination of muscle size and body fat he's ever had. Early on he had little body fat, but also no significant muscle size. Later his muscles grew, but along came some extra fat with it. Now he's going to have the best of both worlds..his legs don't even look at thin as they use to be, that's a first..
i can speak from the experience of microfracture. if you push yourself too hard or if you think you are feeling good then BAM! out of nowhere you will wake up the next day and your knee will be swollen and you won't be able to do too much on it for a week. if he is taking it slowly and minimizing high impact rehab (like running and basketball) then he should be good.
And T-Mac worked with Tim in 07 when? As for the pics im so pumped to see them. Glad to see him in shape. The ChuckWagon said earlier in his interview that he wants T-Mac to come back fully healthy with no lingering injuries. So do I. I hope he does that and comes back to dominate.
i know this has been posted before, but for those who haven't seen it and want to see more about Grover, here's Dwade working with him: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/dXv-3ETfn2Q&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/dXv-3ETfn2Q&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
he's working with grover. i remember reading about wade's rehab and he said he wasn't sure if he was fully back until grover put him through a test that tested his knee. when he passed that test, he knew he was back. i'm sure before tracy considers himself fit to play again, grover will have something to say about that.
It is laughable to think that T-Mac would ever consider signing for the MLE with Houston after the way he has been treated in his mind this past season. He is out to put up big numbers on a team that will fight to get a #8 seed at best unless they get a center. He will simply be playing for a contract elsewhere.
i agree. i don't think tracy wants to stay in houston, nor does the team want him to commit long term. both sides want one another to do well to benefit each other (tracy playing well will get him another lucrative contract, and hopefully make a good trade bait for us)
Absolutely. I just hope T-Mac comes back before december and plays well for us.. If that happens we can def trade him before the deadline if young semi-superstar talent is available in the market. If not we can ride T-Mac for the entire season and hope for a playoff spot.. and If T-Mac plays like in play in the 2008 season.. we can get the #7 or #8 seed for sure.. atleast that's what i think .. but yeah.. I dont think T-Mac should stay here after 2010 .. doesnt make sense. both for rockets and for T-Mac as well. he isnt popular in houston anymore..
i dont see why he wouldn't want to stay here....all this discussion about how he was dislliked or dissed or whatvr...it's mostly a false view the fans have of everything that went on....not too long ago the majority of fans thought Ron was a shoe-in to be re-signed because they thought he was great with this team, later we find out there were definitely issues with him and other players. I think the tmac situation is the opposite. We think there's issues, but then we'll find out it was overblown.....fans support winners, that's all it will take for them to be wearing their #3 jerseys and chanting his name....hell, thats gonna happen even if we lose, but he plays well...
