Some your you guys replies are killing me with the knit picking...lol We lost a tough game, nuff said. Sad as I am with the loss I am not going to lay blame, that is for the narcisist not the realist. Losses like this taken with the right attitude are the best way to learn your lesson and grow.
I agree. Hindsight is always 20/20. T-Mac should've made free throws, Luther should've made a better play at the end, etc., but they didn't. They were killing us inside in the first half, Dirk was in the 4th. A lot of that goes away when Yao gets back. We have a lot more balanced and effective offense and defense when he returns, and the bench players will have had a lot more playing time to boost there confidence and understanding of the JVG system.
Oh, and i might catch hell for this, but HELL NO to bringing francis back. Talk about bad shot selection when it's crunch time. If the game was played with two balls then maybe there would be room for Francis. (not a big fan if you can't tell)
Keep checking this thread, guys. I'm going to post video of TMacs full post game interview shortly. You'll get a kick out of his Yao/Las Vegas comments.
Here's the full interview from last night. Enjoy. <object width="425" height="350"> <param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/vtDx7u2TyQY"> </param> <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/vtDx7u2TyQY" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"> </embed> </object>
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Guys that can make plays when TMac is doubled. Sorry, but they are sitting on our bench, not being developed. You won't find 2 guys who attack more than VSpan and Snyder.
Seriousely, everytime you open you're tracy hating mouth, more people see how stupid you are. i've seen atleast two other posters piss over you in thuis thread over you're stupidity.
Thank you. I'm glad I'm not the only person who's fed up with liu's antics. I don't even know why he posts here, as he isn't even a Rockets fan. He comes here only because of Yao, and spends most of his time following the Lakers, as far as I can tell.
I love seeing tracy pissed. great leaders callout there teammates when needed. the great micheal jordan even did it when he saw he's teammtes werent stepping up. the problem here is we dont have the smart guys who played well without or with the ball anymore. wesely in 2004 along with sura and barry were masters of exploiting the double teams on yao or tracy. rafer or head are in general while more skilled then those guys, arent as smart.
He comes here to bad mouth tracy and then fling off back to lakersground. i say let him open he's mouth so more people can judge he's utter stupidity by themselves.
I think that Head will learn to play that way as he gains more experience. He's improved tremendously since last season, and will likely continue to improve as he becomes more comfortable with the NBA game. McGrady seems to rely on Luther a fair amount, much like Jordan relied on BJ Armstrong during the Bulls first series of title runs. Head has the ability to become that type of player.
True that will come with experience and time. thats why that 2004 team was so especial. we had a great core of solid smart vets who could still play. with rafer i dont think smarts is he's forte.
I agree, as I can't see Rafer making any significant improvements in his game. His style of play is too remeniscent of the playground for him to be an effective complement to Yao and McGrady. He might be more effective if he were a better decision-maker, but his shot-selection has always been poor, as evidenced by his low field-goal percentage. If Luther can continue to improve his ball-handling, he may be able to take over point guard duties. Otherwise, the Rockets have no choice but to explore trades.
Thanks Hilltopper for the YouTube. I like T-Mac talking about other players attacking when he's doubled, but I'd like it more if he would say things like this during games and not after the fact. Be a more vocal, in-your-face leader and challenge them to step up. Maybe he does, but i haven't seen it and given his laid-back personality, I doubt it.
The Snyder situation has me extremely puzzled (and I sense I'm not the only one). He missed several games because of the upper respiratory tract infection, but has been used sparingly since his return to the active roster. Van Gundy indicated that it was going to be a challenge to find minutes for Head, Wells, Alston, and Snyder, but it's looking more and more as though he needs to give the bulk of Wells' minutes to Kirk. It's unfortunate, as I was hoping that Bonzi would eventually be able to help this team, but he doesn't have the stamina to play extended minutes, and the playing time he has seen hasn't been sufficient to allow him to feel comfortable in the Rockets offense.
I agree. He probably shouldn't have said anything to the media about it, but it's too late to do anything now. That said, it's likely that McGrady was only restating what JVG has been telling his role-players for weeks.
