Trevor has other issues but at least he hustles....and plays hard.

I mean Tracy should be KILLING HIMSELF out there....and the fact is...he just isn't....

Dissappointing is too small a word.

I think Tmac did play as hard as he can. You cannot expect him to do everything.

Without Yao, Hayes ans Andersen cannot defend Howard. And, Lewis is a mismatch for Scola.

We lost to a better team (a true contender), simple and plain.

btw, what's wrong with you, DD? You seem to be in a bad mood.

I won't further jack this thread but I agree with you. Ariza's play cannot be the reason he is clocking so many minutes because he is putrid on offense and hit or miss on defense right now. His attitude on the court right now sucks and I wish this team had an outspoken veteran leader to step up and tell him to knock it off.

Actually I am happy, I am ok with losing this game it was expected.

What annoys me is the TMac fans who fail to see his warts and how it hurts the team overall.

The guy is just not good for the Rockets, his style doesn't fit, his attitude doesn't fit, and his demeanor doesn't fit.

It is time for him to go.......and time for the Rockets to move on.....

isnt part of the point of limiting tmacs minutes to make sure he fully recovers? and you want him to kill himself (and his knee) on every play? just saying...

I want him to play hard for the 8 minutes he is out there, to go ALL OUT...to show what he can be......I mean it is only 8 minutes.....why would he rest on defense?

He doesn't need to save any energy.....go for it.

What he is doing in 8 minutes or rather what he isn't doing is a microcosim of why he has to go.

Good to hear you are happy!

btw, have you ever thought that you probably fail to see Tmac actually can help this team?

i saw at least a few plays where trevor didn't hustle to recover (VC blew by him with ease several times, and he couldn't blow by tmac who's recovering from an injury). but he's in a slump so i'm giving him a pass, and everyone was just bad in general tonight on both ends.

Reposting a reply I had in another thread (I guess it fits in better with the discussion in this thread), in response to TMac coasting on some defensive possessions:

"Of course players take plays off. They always have, superstar or not.

But when the scope is on your forehead, and an entire franchise, fanbase
    - league, even - is looking directly at you, probing your every move, analyzing each step you take, noting the smallest of details in an effort to assess your current and future worth, don't you think you would have the decency and common sense to give it your all 100% of the time?

Think of it this way. T-Mac is given 8 minutes per game. Some feel he deserves more. But if he can't even go 8 minutes without coasting for a few possessions, how is he going to handle going 30+ minutes. Hell, even 15 minutes?

We don't need anymore liabilities. He can come back full time when he is committed."

You say that his style doesn't fit with the team, but in that situation NO superstars style would fit this team. I assume you're saying he's a ball stopper, etc etc, but any superstar would stop the ball just as much if not more than him, see Kobe Bryant. At the same time, we have people on our OWN team who stop the ball at times too, see Brooks and Ariza.

You can say he doesn't hustle enough, but during the Clippers game he was moving with the offense, and on defense was running too. He played pretty good D on Dirk when we played Dallas and tonight he played pretty well against Carter too, but sometimes Carter was just too quick for him.

Yeah he might be more lazy than others on D, but he's just coming back from a surgery.

We are not talking about Trevor, we are talking about Tmac.......if Tracy was playing 30 minutes a game, one could expect him to rest a bit on some defensive possessions.

But he is not...he is ONLY PLAYING 8 MINUTES.....he should be going all out....IF.....IF.....he wants to keep playing.

Right now the team is better off without him playing any minutes.

You cease to be a ball stopper when you can score efficiently....368% is not efficient.

And if he can't guard a noticably slower Carter, he should not be playing.

As for surgery...I don't give two craps that he is coming back...it is a dog eat dog world and if he is not able to help...surgery or not....I don't care.

Meritocracy at it's finest.....the strong survive the weak get eaten.

Tmac is one big old ham sandwich.

Your theory is really too far-fetched! You say he is only playing 8 minutes ... he sould be going all out. I say only playing 8 minutes is not enough time to warm up...

And, so far, with Tmac, we are 4-2; without him, we are 13-10. I cannot see why the team is better off without him playing any minutes.

look DD, if tracy displayed ZERO effort like you claim on his help D, clutch would have put it on there and made a point about it.

sure, his defense is subpar, but it wasn't like he didn't try. dude's defensive quickness remains a work in progress, just like his offense.

his 1-on-1 defense has been good, but i do agree that his help D and knowing when to help and when he hsouldn't and allowing his man to be wide open is bad defense. he needs to get better on that aspect defensively. zero effort, well, i don't see that.

I think we all should leave DD alone. For some reasons, DD is in a crazy mode. Christmas is coming. Poor DD! :(

Don't care how many years of veteran he is. He came back from surgery. 8 minutes a game does not tell anything but he's on his way back. And your rant does not change anything.
