P.S. Tell us how to spell your friggin' nickname, 'cause we're spelling it about 4 different ways, and I don't think any of us really knows.

Even the hated Michael Finely gave props to McGrady: "It sure feels good not to have to chase Mcgrady around for 48 minutes. He is definitely a great player, and he had a great series, and he did everything he could to put his team over the hump, but alas we were just the better team at the end."

Finely even called Dirk out and said he wasn't this entire series "Dirk-like, and was a bit under the weather I guess."

TMac, thanks for bringing real basketball back to Houston. It has been a long time. You were just fantastic. Hopefully you will have more support next year.

TMac is the most completed player in this league today. Hopefully, he won't have to force the issue too much next season, with the better chemistry between him and Yao, and better role players we'll get this Summer.

If Yao has to go to China again for his commitments for too long this off season, McGrady should take a few weeks out of his schedule and TRAVEL (yes TRAVEL) to China to do nothing all off season but perfect that PnR. It will be the DEADLIEST PnR in history of the league if they get comfortable with it. We saw it in spurts and it confused the **** outta the Mavs defense.

Can you imagine these two guys together as they play more and more with each other for years to come? They will make Stockton/Malone pale in comparison:cool:

T-Mac you rock, take a rest, and come back strong next year. I'm proud of our team.

I still don't know why we didn't run this play EVERY SINGLE TIME. Dallas had absolutely no answers for it. I remember when JVG said after that Spurs loss (without Duncan) that they knew exactly what team they were and stuck with it. They continued to drive and kick and pick and roll not matter what. That's the kind of determination that this team needs. Run the pick and roll 50 times, get T-mac 15 open jumpers, Yao 20 layups, T-mac 10 driving layups and 5 kickouts to 3pt shooters. I'd live and die off of that every day.

Thanks, T-mac. We know you tried your best. You gave us som much pleasure this year. How could we forget?
But personally, I don't know if I am willing to see any NBA games in a long time. Just hurt me so much when you see the guys you love didn't get treated fairly and they were in such a pain. Give time to Tmac and our sorrowful fans to recover.

    * applaudes

I think we played a hell of a series... when contrasted with the last couple seasons, this one felt as if we progressed. There is hope with T-Mac running the show and Yao complimenting him. They really seemed to develop some dynamic duo chemistry in this series.

We'll be seeing that high pick and roll as our goto play for years to come...

TMAC... we have one of the most complete if not the most complete player in the league, we are blessed as fans to have you on our squad... now lets bring in some athletic freaks to dunk all over these Mavs next year... bring in Hakim Warrick and Stromile Swift, and sign Wilcox from the clippers... Dang... another 6 months of baseball.... wake me up when the season starts

T-Mac...You're the best player I've seen in a Rockets uni since I've been a fan. And, furthermore, the best player in the league since I've become a dedicated and hardcore fan of the NBA.

well my thread was going to be titled "TMAC is a GOD" but this will do.

when we first got mcgrady, i thought how lucky we are to get a top 5 player. but i wasn't really sure just how "top 5" he was. i knew he could score on anyone and had athleticism out the wazoo, but i wasn't sure if he was nails like kobe at the end of a game, or could really impact a game like kg or td. it felt like he was definitely number 5.

then the season happened and i realized how badass he was. he did hit the big jumpers, and he could just take over games whenever he wanted.

but i wasn't prepared for what he showed us in the playoffs. i am floored by his performance. we not only asked him to carry the scoring load (though i thought yao did very well when he wasn't in foul trouble), we not only made him create time and time again even as guys dropped passes left and right, we not only asked him to help out on the glass, we not only asked him to play almost every minute, but then we said "hey, it turns out we don't have a pf, could you guard their power forward? oh, and a heads up, he's a badass. thanks."

and he freakin' did it all. he scored 30 a game, dished 7 assists a game, grabbed 7 boards a game, and shut nowitzki the F down. this rivals hakeem versus drob on the superstar smacking down another superstar scale. not quite as bad, and we didn't win the series, but he showed him up enormously. just an all-world performance in these 7 games from tmac.

and people should lay off the role players a little. granted, they played like dog crap today, and got outplayed in the series, but these were the same guys who helped us finish 45-20, including 2 different 8 game winning streaks, and who not only energized the bench, but yao and tmac, and hit big shots and even played a little D thanks to wesley and deke. this was a pretty good group of role players, they just ran into another bunch that cost about 35 million more and thus was younger and more athletic. now, we do need to upgrade the role players b/c all contenders have athletic role players that we'll have to overcome, but this was a damn good mix of guys who made this such a great season. just bring in a good pf (or at least bring back the decent one we had) and get us a better pg than sura (and make sure ryan bowen never plays again) and we should be gold. so please make good use of this 1st round pick and don't pick a foreigner we may never see. hakim warrick with yao and tmac on the frontline, now that's some length.

I have not enjoyed watching one single Rocket play basketball this much since Hakeem Olajuwon was uber dominant from 1992-93 to about 1995-96.

I always enjoyed watching Steve Francis athleticism but was never thrilled with his decision making. It seems like when I question T-Mac's decision making more often than not he proves me wrong by making the insane shot. That's crazy sick talent that we are lucky to have wearing Rockets red.

It looks like he's hungry and motivated he did everything imaginable in this series he just didn't get enough help in the end. If we can only get a bruiser 4 to help Yao down low in the post this team could run off a string of championships barring injury. We still need to make some offseason moves but I seem to like the pairing of Jeff Van Gundy & Carol Dawson because we have yet to sign a spare to a super huge contract and our mid-season roster moves panned out almost universally.
