Newsflash to revisionists. McGrady did way more for Houston than Yao up until the 08-09 season. I'll agree that at that point Yao was the better player. It didn't really matter much though b/c both were basically out of the league due to the longstanding effects of perpetual injury after that year.

Yo tmac fans you couldn't have it both ways.
you can't say he had great coach and sucky teammates when the sucky teammates were the coach's choice players.
Jvg felt yao and tmac plus defensive players equals championship.
    He was wrong.

If they were ever able to be healthy at the same time once Yao hit his prime it might have just happened.

Jvg got exposed and yao and tmac were exposed too.
They were not Kobe and shaq. Jvg failed so we had to hire rick.

Tinman, Tmac is the 2nd greatest Rocket of all time behind Hakeem. You can hate but you can't deny the truth.

^Idk about the second greatest. But in the last 20 years he was the best Rockets' player not named Hakeem.

T-mac's first three games in CHina, two of them, the team got killed in the last shot. T-mac is really pissed off, but he is still too lazy, I think. I watched first game, he played OK, but teammates suck. He is not determated at the clutch time. He got stolen by oponent, and got killed when the time is out. The last game, he only got 13pts. I don't know what happen, but the teammate is playing better, they tied the game is the last second, but failed again.

I would definitely give that honors to one of the following players before T-Mac:

    - Calvin Murphy
    - Ralph Sampson
    - Elvin Hayes

Even after them, you still had to consider players such as:

    - Sleepy Floyd
    - Clyde Drexler
    - Rudy T

Yeah... Looking back at some of the great players the Rockets have had, T-Mac may not even crack the top 5.

His 2004/2005 season he was incridible. The season he averaged 25-5-5 was the best of any Rockets player not named Olajuwon probaly ever. He was incrdible, but he was his own worst enemy in the end.

MerGady's offensive game was a top 5 in his prime with us.

His stupid mouth is #1, barely edging Royce.

    His fault is also #1.

Tmac is not only the greatest Rocket, but the greatest person of all time, by far.

Don't forget about Rick Barry and Charles Barkley, both are in the basketball hall of fame.

T-Mac might have a hard time making the Rockets top ten list.

Wow while I love/loved those players I'd take a prime t-mac over every single one of them

T-Mac is definitely the 3rd best Rocket
