yeaaaaaaaaaaa sorry but Yao still a better center then Dwight IMO. Its pretty obvious when they played against each other. Dwight just doesnt have the skills to get past Yao.
if it wasnt for injuries, we would've had a ring. the days of yao as the best center, tmac as our point forward, artest and battier deadly combo defense, young hungry and eager aaron brooks and lowry, scolandrayes trio, and deke's finger wag! makes our team today look like high school players

uhgh of course he was. That portland series and how defenses had to gameplan against yao by throwing waves of defenders..that's respect. A las, yao was meant for a greater good than some silly sport full of divas. bite the head!
Wrong. He was there when the Magic stunk it up. Next year they got Howard. http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/ORL/2004.html 2003-04 Orlando Magic 21-61, Finished 7th in NBA Atlantic Division Rk Player Salary 1 Tracy McGrady $13,279,750 2 Grant Hill $13,279,750 3 Juwan Howard $4,917,000 4 Drew Gooden $3,004,560 5 Pat Garrity $2,643,750 http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/ORL/2005.html 2004-05 Orlando Magic Roster Rk Player Salary 1 Grant Hill $14,487,000 2 Steve Francis $12,330,000 3 Kelvin Cato $7,992,000 4 Cuttino Mobley $5,884,500 5 Hedo Turkoglu $4,903,000 6 Tony Battie $4,800,000 7 Dwight Howard $4,179,720
And Dream was better than both, by a mile, yet that doesn't change the fact that our best player is barely taller than a Hobbit.
Yao bested Dwight in almost ever regular season game they played against each other. Even after the muscle gain, Yao was still better.
We need another Yao to lure in another superstar. Maybe Lowry can be our "Yao". Every big man wants to play with a great PG, right?
Yao was struck down in his prime, he finally was willing to repost, and be selfish with the ball and wham, his feet fell apart. Come on Yao, you are all better now.....come back ! DD
There was an article posted here where Francis and McGrady were both interviewed post-trade. They both liked both cities, but both obviously preferred Houston. Also, Yao was just as good as Howard during that particular duration. By the time Howard eventually caught up and surpassed Yao, McGrady was done.
Lol... Yao was BETTER than Dwight. His defense was good and his offense...well he was the best post player in the entire league. This team + Yao is a different animal that would scare the Lakers to death. Lowry dishing and locking guys up. Martin playing a complimentary role, him and Chase getting wide open 3 after wide open 3. Scola doing his thing Then Yao dominating. Lets not even get to the bench. It's too bad he got hurt once he reached his prime.
I laughed, but than a thought crossed my mind. You might not be joking! I would take a healthy Yao over Howard easily. Yao is 7'4" and one of the best scorers you can hope for. He and T-mac were such a deadly combination. Darn shame they could not stay healthy long enough for Morey to put the pieces in place around them. They would have had a ring for sure if they could have lasted just a few more seasons.
Laughter is all we have this year my friend, it keeps us from crying. And yeah, I am joking, clearly Yao is done....unless he suddenly gets that itch, which may be due to Morey sending him a Christmas present of Underoos filled with itching powder. DD
I would seriously give up a testicle if Yao was 100% healthy all these years... the way all this ended was just so wrong.
