It would be good if Tmac gets back to his old self. Its a low risk high reward for Detroit given that they already have Hamilton, Gordon and Prince. Don't know how much playing time Tmac will get but hope he gets enough time on the court so that we can evalaute if he gotten good or not.

I'm glad to see some posters wishing tmac well. Honestly, tmac has been part of very memorable moments as a rocket (13 in 33 and 22win streak), that is enough for me to forgive/be content with tmac. The rockets are in a good place right now, no reason to bash the guy. Basic values I learned growing up

that much could have very well been true maybe his rehab over the summer and last season has made him a better physical player now than what he was last december. and even if its not its better to lie and say something like this if some other team out there would be foolish enough to believe it and sign tmac.

I think you tmac fans are reading way too much into this whole thing Paxson said something nice about McGrady and thats it. I doubt his opinion/words would have any impact on the Pistons signing tmac if it did then dumars is a bigger idiot than i thought.

I mean Morey says the same thing all the time about our players during the season and after he trades them, they just do it to be nice.

If Paxson was serious about all that 'turned the corner' he would have sign t-mac because if tmac would be able to play at 80% of what he was before consistently he is still a far better player than Luol Deng is right now and would deserve to start

wrong. deng is a player who DOES NOT NEED THE BALL to do his thing. and paxson surrounded rose with players like that. rose is their guy.

if tmac agreed to be a bench player (where less of his minutes would coincide with rose), he would have been signed. his comments about wanting to be a starter i think were reasons for him not being with the bulls.

dumars and detroit had their own workout with tmac and they made that decision.

again, i don't know how tmac is physically or what he is going to be.

If t-mac is back to his old self, why would they want him on the bench? Screw Derrick Rose, you got the scoring champ back!

Man, I kind of feel bad for T-Mac. That Pistons team is TERRIBLE. One more year he won't even make the playoffs, much less get out of the first round.

But he isn't back to his old self and will never be. His season high in point this year will be 23. Book it.

I think he'll have a decent yr, maybe average 14 or 15 ppg. He'll sign with the Heat next yr with a 2 yr 8M contract and retire in 2013.

    1.3 M?

Still overpaid for what he has to offer.

I would offer him $9/hour with no health insurance/benefits. Medical insurance is costly with this guy.

BTW, $9/hour applies to NBA game time only. Make him earn it.

Oh, and a monthly performance review should be mandatory for someone with his work ethic. 5% raise for every month he goes without opening his mouth to the media.

I think this is fair to everyone including the American economy.

I'm going to duck in and out on this one. This was a low risk move on both sides. Whether people acknowledge it or not, a asset is a asset. Maybe tracy is looking at a grant hill type of situation where he can prove himself to be healthy and maybe display something. If i were him, i would have angled for gsw because even with curry, he could have had a chance to handle the ball and set guys up which is his greatest attribute. I hope he's healthy and pain free and all else will take care of itself. If the have to move hamilton or prince, he can be part of it as a salary match or part of the leftovers. I actually think if healthy, which is a big if, he could really play well with a tweener like gordon and a combo like stuckey.

CBSSports.com reports Carmelo Anthony has told people close to him that he is excited about exploring the possibility of being a Knick.

Morey couldn't swallow his ego and bring Tmac back where he belongs, thus allowing the Pistons to make a low risk high reward "moneyball" type move at a time when Jermaine f'n Taylor is our backup shooting guard during an "all in" year.

You need to show Morey your graph on why signing Tmac would push us over the top. Morey is obviously clueless on how to run a team.

    Good for T-Mac.

The past is the past so I wish him well. Like 96% of you here, I have my doubts. We'll just have to see what happens.

In any event, his post-Houston ventures are becoming less and less relevant with each passing day. Time to move on!
