Oh, please. Tracy has the same body language regardless of how he's playing. Just stick with the specific on how he played. Not how he looked.

As for defense ... no arguments. But McGrady hasn't been a particularly good defender all year, including during the streak. He's the "weak link" on that side of the ball, in my opinion.

If only we had Yao. We would of never lose a single game again.

Ok .. Ok .. Ok ... I can see that many posters are in delicate state right now and need some alone time.

My post was not meant to offend my fellow Rocket fans. It was just fustrating to watch T-MAC (our only superstar) play so poorly tonight, and yes even with the Celtics defense.

Barkley stated at half time that McGrady needed to score at least 30 for the Rockets to win. Kenny also commented on how Superstars like McGrady had that extra gear they can put their game into.

McGrady knew this (I'm sure), he didn't do it. Enough said.

*** THIS IS JUST MY OPINION ***

we all share that opinion. he played bad tonight. he didn't step up FOR ONE GAME.

but what pisses us off is how you took things out of context from tmac and made it seem like he's a quitter and a person who blames his teammates. that's the problem. that's totally out of line.

Perhaps McGrady was busy at half time listening to what his coaches wanted him to, as opposed to Chuck & Kenny? Maybe?

That's fine that it's your opinion but if you know that it is such a delicate state, why bring it up? Why create this thread to spur on hate?

Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley were right, but Kenny Smith wouldn't know jack **** about an extra gear, and Charles Barkley should know how hard it is to score 30 when you're sucking and/or tired and you've got a whole defense oriented against you, but then again he's a r****d.

You just want to vent your hate on T-Mac. Fine. Whatever. It's one game. I agree it was frustrating. But you didn't need this thread. It doesn't help. If you knew there was a delicate state going around, then you were just being a meanie head by creating this thread.

for the record, i dont agree with the original post.

paul pierce still got his 20 or so points.

and look, yeah, the celtics played great defense. but tmacs poor offensive performance wasnt the only thing i was criticizing. there were MANY times when all of the rockets would be playing defense, he would be slouched over or slowly walking up the court. and then he wouldnt even make a real effort to decently defend his man. i can easily recall 2 or 3 times when his man just blew right past him. yes, hes an all nba first team defender, but he should at least make an effort to guard his man.

I think Tmac's body cannot afford that! He played too many minutes since Yao was out. At least, we all don't want Tmac to be also injured! As long as Tmac keep heathy, we still have hope for this season!

But the thing with McGrady is it isn't just one game. It's every game the Rockets need him. This routine was old three years ago.

pierce didn't receive the defensive treatment tmac got. battier guarded him 1-on-1 like usual and he got 6 fastbreak points just to put it out there.

and again, tmac played BAD, HORRIBLE, PATHETIC, however you want to put it. if you saw the game post, i was pissed at tmac. but it has only been TWO games. he has stepped up BIG TIME since yao went out. we weren't going to win the hornets, bobcats, hawks, or mavericks game without tmac. so he's due for a few bad games. and here they are.

i don't like it. but i know he's going to respond. he has a game right off the bat tonight and 2 more road games after that. we'll see how tmac and the team responds. i'm confident in tmac. he showed me a lot during the winning streak. the TEAM showed me a lot during the winning streak. that's all i'm going to say.

29 and 13 in game 7? if he did that with THIS current team, we'd advance.

for us to win game 7 last yr, tmac had to put up 35 and 17 assist for us to win.
