Tracy is one of those guys who's averages will be up there over the course of a season. But he's not a guy who brings it every night. He has games where he plays out of his mind and others where he's downright awful. You just never know what you're going to get on any given night.
What kind of superstar that let his team lose 2 nights in a row badly? Tmac is such a knuckle head. If they win, he thinks this is the best team ever. If they lose, he makes excuses that he's tired and blah blah blah. Man up and motivate your freaking team and stop with your stupid excuses and negativity.
dude talks all about himself when we're winning... about what he brings to the game, to the team... but when we lose hes talking about how his teammates didnt hit their shots...
Tracy McLovin "I'm the best" when the teams winning. Tracy McBlamin "My teammates need to hit their shots" when the teams losing.
exactly. The best way to describe tracy mcgrady is "unmotivated" Scola is a decent player but is tremendously motivated. It makes all the difference.
The entire team needs to be more decisive in the movement and passing when opponents decide to send help over to Tracy. I think T-Mac plays way too passively when multiple defenders are keying on him. Shoot it, drive it, or pass it. Don't just hold on to the ball or dribble weakly away from the defenders, hoping for some situation to develop on its own.
There was one possession where Rafer had the ball and he passed it to TMAC who passed it back to Rafer who passed it back to TMAC and back and forth again. Neither dribbled or really looked to shoot or create. Scola may have been moving around a little but there wasn't any screening or cutting off the ball. That was pretty much typical of our offense tonight. At least in the Laker game, Tracy was able to drive and dish and create opportunities for others.
Ok, if he blamed his teammates then he is a piece of crap and needs to be gone. I don't care how true it is, you don't call out your teammates like that. If he didn't, then why is this thread still open?
It isn't physical. He becomes "tired" when his shot isn't falling. When his jumper is on he plays better on both ends of the court. It's a mental issue with him. Many superstars will decide to exert more effort on defense when they know they don't have it going on offense. Tmac is the type that becomes mentally impotent when he isn't putting up numbers offensively. He is in as good of shape as Garnett or Kobe or Lebron he just doesn't have the competitive nature they have. Does anyone know of a good sports psychologist in Waco? Tmac needs another miracle cure.
For the past three games your boy has been hanging out at the right wing waiting for a pass. when the defender(s) man up he backs down or shoots a bad shot. That's our "playmaker." Give me scolas missed layups. Better yet, give me layup attempts from McGrady.
he does have a point Mcgrady is missing layups against double teams the rest of the team is missing layups against single coverage or even an open layup
The thing that's wrong with this team is that they forget things. Like forgetting that you're playing in the NBA and just standing there watching the person with the ball. Or forgetting how to make a layup. or a free throw. Or that there are defenders on the floor who will take a lazy pass and get a layup on the other end. Yeah, Mcgrady hasn't played well, and he was lazy tonight (I still honestly think it's because he's physically exhausted though), but he could have scored 30 tonight and we would have lost.
the streak is a really rare feat and is gloriously in the history books. as a fan, i'm so proud of it. but please be aware, boston wins more games than anyone (don't say they're in the east 'cause their record against the west won't support your argument). in total the lakers w/ kobe have won as many games as we have w/o an elite big man in the middle for most of the season. the only difference is we've won our share of games 22 times IN A ROW.
