I just wish he would once have a great game against the Detroit's, Boston's, and LA's of the world. I want to see him go off and shoot like 30 times and score 40 again. Spends way too much time trying to get others off. Get off first and then pull the defense in.

This is just really amazing to me. To read ALL of these T-Mac hating posts. It's like you people REALLY thought we would win ALL of the remaining games. We played the BEST team in the league last night people!!!! We have guys 6'6 and 6'5 playing post against 6'10 athletes. Please try and be a little more realistic. We will lose a couple more games this year just to let you all know.

Sooo you want him to be like Kobe on Sunday WHEN THEY LOST? Take ALL the shots and not get anybody else involved in the offense? The defense is already pulled in to him. They know he is all we got right now.... Give the good teams credit, they are good for a reason.

it is not about losing a game. it is about how you lost it. if you are the only star in a team, then face the fact you will be double teamed every minute every night. Being tired or your teammate cannot score is not the excuse for your getting only 8 points.

How can you say such a douchebag statement? You act like he scores 8 points every night. Remember those nights he scores over 30 points?

If you want T-Mac to go off and score more than 8 pts than you iso him on the left or right wing. Everybody go the other way.

mcgrady didn't play well. actually he played very poorly in the last couple of games. i have no intention to bash him. things, like bad games, happen. and there's no point to bash a player after each loss.

what i've got a problem with is the double standards held by some fans that seem to me have a crush on mcgrady. it really amazes me. tired, double-teamed, played 48 minutes, opponent's smohtering defense, whatever. (imagine what those will say if yao had scored 11 and 8 two games in the row.)

what i'm worried about right now is this team may be in deeper trouble than we realize or want to admit. we've been able to cover our shortcomings for too long due to a variety of things. the next few weeks can't be more crucial to us...

If you don't love McHeartless, you are a bandwagoner!

Exactly, if the writer's saying TMac blamed his teammates the article needs to have more context than just this short quote. Poorly written article.

I don't know if it's a blessing or curse, but someone like an Allen Ivorson in that situation would at least try and shoot, near the end of the third no one even wanted to put up a shot. I felt like of them all Tmac was the most shy of the ball, don't get me wrong he was tired I get it. The question I have is substituting any other superstar out for Tmac could we still have won 10 in a row? If the answer is yes then Tmac is not a good factor in this equation, if the answer is no then we need to keep him like he's our last breathe of air.

Alright guys, let's be realistic. I've dogged Tmac in the past and still question much about his character, but he said and did nothing wrong last night or against LA for that matter.

Teams are overplaying Tmac and forcing the rest of the team to win the game. With continued movement, it should allow rafer, scola, battier, etc.. to get open looks. Their part of the equation is two fold: 1. continued movement 2. make shots

The more the team moves and makes shots, the more the double team lessens and allows tmac to get off. Last night, we ran into a defensive juggernaut that is flat out bigger than us. It would take an almost perfect team game to win, and we just didn't move well enough or hit open shots. Tracy is right and said nothing derogatory.

I especially liked what Adelman had to say about how we let the press beat us. We didn't push up the court and get quick shots, we pushed up the court and let them set up their defense. We will adjust and win our share of games from here on out, but Tracy forcing shots isn't going to do it for us. It's a team game and we were outplayed as a team last night.

btw, thanks for the 22 guys. most fun i've had as a rocket fan in years.

Name one thread the admins have locked because of Yao criticism or simply STFU.

On one hand, we need players to have the mental strength, be tough. There is nothing wrong about it. On the other hand, we have to look at the fact that TMac played quite a few 48 min. games. Dude! 48 min. is a lot!

TMac sometimes is too honest with the reporters. At the point of his career, he still needs to learn how to speak to the media.

    Yet more hatred from BlinDbury.

He is the definition of a bandwagon fan. When its going good, praise all around. When its going bad, find nearest scapegoat. T-Mac with only 8 points seemed easy enough. Then find quotes and take them out of context to make outrageous headline.

Great writing ability, too bad his content and tone doesnt reflect that. You would expect more from a major newspaper like the Chronicle.

Where oh where has my little [Houston Post] gone, where oh where can it be??

Two bad games in a row don't mean anything, especially considering Tracy's stellar play prior to that. If he lays eggs the next 6 out of 8 games, then it might be time to pile on.

I don't think that T-Mac saying his teammates need to make open shots is as much of an issue as some are making it out to be. And the 22 game streak aside, the bottom line is that it is a serious problem when your superstar and alleged leader scores 11 and 8 respectively in the 2 biggest games of the year to date. Yes we played arguable the best team in the league, lost and there is no shame in that, however it bothers me that T-Mac didn't step up in either of these last two games.

For all the T-Mac apologists, seriously, do you think you'd see Kobe or Lebron fail to impose their will to at least some extent in games this big? No way! Double teams or not, there is no excuse for such a poor performance from our premier player in games this big.

did you ever think about champ or not? rox has to win 4 series of playoff games. easily 6 games a round. then that is 24 games. with much much better teams to fight with, and much much tougher defense. tmac will be double teamed every second. if he gets "tired" after scoring 30 in 10 games, then we are done. such 8 point performance will kill us anyway. this is what i am really angry about. tmac cannot just lie on those "tired" excuses. in playoff nobody cares if you are tired or not. you have to play at highest intense for 24 games to get the champ!!

I was going to say if you have to ask, you are way too new around here, then I looked at your registration date, so I'll simply explain that when a thread turns into a personal battle between posters or it evolves into true fan vs. bandwagon fan bashing, it generally gets closed.
