This guy makes less than a late first round draft pick and he gets more insults than Kwame Brown.

He won't leave money on the table. After he can't find any NBA team willing to pay him, he'll take his "talents" to China or Europe, probably China.

Alright, to be fair, Tracy doesn't bother shooting anymore. Whenever I see his numbers it's always the same, he takes like three shots a game.
Therefore, duh, his ppg average is going to suck.
    With all that said....it's over.
Tracy probably knows it, we know it, but why leave money lying around when it can still be made. In addition, who knows, maybe he can still work his way back up to role player.

barkley stayed on the rockets post the pippen disaster. he should have left, but he wanted to mentor steve francis.

he didn't go the ron artest route to another team, he felt he owed it to the Rockets and their fans.

he had a career ending injury playing with the Rockets while playing vs Philly the team he started off with.

They gave him a standing ovation.

The Rockets let Charles play the last game cause he didn't want to go out that way. as you saw in the video, the Rockets fans really appreciated what he did as a Rocket and as an NBA player.

thanks Charles. no matter what crap he says about the Rockets teams, he never let the Rockets fans down.

He's my favorite rocket of all time. I'd hope he could become T-Mac again but then yet again I simply hope he does what's best for him. Good luck Tracy!

I was pretty curious how he reinjured his knee. He just went up hard for the rebound in traffic and I guess his knee blew up.

He is done and as fans are demanding, he should be out of Pistons rotation.

I think we're seeing the end of the honeymoon in Detroit. Coaches have seen enough that they aren't inclined to pencil him into the main rotation, and McGrady can't be taking it well to hear them say that. He may be heading towards sulk mode, and there's already signs that the locker room is becoming a sour place:
    http://detnews.com/article/20101103...n--Pistons-already-look-like-a-team-in-crisis

Gotta use [sarcasm] tags or a ;) !

If he takes a medical retirement, I think he'll keep his money. But, was his Detroit contract fully guaranteed?

I don't think there was an aggravation or re-injury, I think his knee simply can't absorb the pounding, even light, anymore. That or he's using the knee as an excuse to sit out.

Who's buying tickets today to see McGrady at this point?

Guys like Kyle Korver and JJ Reddick are justifiable on a roster as limited shooter-only role players because they're snipers that can hit 40% or better from deep in game action. McGrady's a career 33% guy from deep (no season at 40% or better) - no coach would want him in that role.

He left last game because his knee is sore???

Translation: "I dont want to play because I cant move out there and I dont want to make my career stats suffer playing 8 minutes a game."

why would i do that? i made a bet. i am a man of my word, i dont care if i bet 100 dollars drunk, if i said i thought he was going to avg 15 then im sticking with it till the end of the season.

and as for tinmans comments about all of those who said tmac was better than drexler

ALL OF YOU need to realize just because a player has rings and won things doesnt necessarily make him the better player. we're talking about pure skill, athleticism, shooting, everything. i never said mac was better than drex cuz i dont remember enough about drex considering a lot of his career began in my infancy.

yes tmac did not win anything significant
never got past the first round
but skill wise 3 years ago tmac was arguably the best offensive talent in the game, he was silky smooth and athletic, just because we enjoyed that player doesnt mean we dont respect other peoples games, we just enjoy his particular style.

i dont understand why this is constantly brought up, why can't you people just let it rest, some like tmac some dont. i'm tired of constantly having to defend myself just for enjoying a players talents
