yeah, all players get tired, but no one has to lead a team while dealing with as much hate as Tracey. Also, lets not forget he recently recovered from the flu (hell maybe he's sick again; it is a bad year for the flu after all) and had to be put on an iv for fluids. Then he plays 48 minutes twice in a week. I think we are seeing the combination of these things taking its toll on him these last few days. he just needs some rest. He'll be fine.
What people don't get is that T-Mac hasn't been the same since his back issues, players in decline usually are more streaky, he's been up and down all season, why do you think things will change? I don't get it why people act like he's still the old T-Mac where he can carry a team day in and day out....get over it guys, this is what he is, and expect a lot more bad games than good over the next coming years....I sya it every year that he's not the guy who's going to help us get a championship....sad thing is he's going to carry this team down with him....
T-Mac has lower energy levels than the Iversons, Kobes and Lebron James. He's only playing 37 minutes a game this season, while it's routine for some other superstars to average 41, 42 minutes. He's been playing like a scrub the last three games so that drainage must've been pretty bad. Imagine what happens in the playoffs, when intensity is higher and we need him every minute on the court? Among superstars, he's like a Ferrari with a smaller gas tank than the regular ones. That's what he is and why we need Yao to take up some load. Those who think this team is better without Yao is far from being right.
Blinebury is just a bitter, frumpy middle-aged woman. It's not McGrady's fault Fran is the junior varsity writer for the Rockets.
Since Yao left, T-mac has been playing 40mins+ all the time (all 48 mins some games) After 22-0 he really needs some rest. He doesn't want to overuse himself and get injured like Yao, so we don't lose hope in playoffs. Imagine if we go 30-0, and we managed to get no.1 in West at the end of the season, but we lost T-mac, what will happen? 22-0 is making most of us expecting too much on this team. Just be patient. Let T-mac prepare the post season with full strength and without any injury. And let's set our goal at 2nd round of playoff for this season. If wen can make this goal, I think we are gonna have a pretty good shot on title next season with Yao coming back.
Fat Blindbury is an idiot. He predicted the Rockets would never make the playoffs this year, the Mavs to win it all, and Yao the NBAs MVP. I would only ask him to write a blog if the subject were donuts. I don't think he even watches the games.
Probably an intentional mistake by Fran, but McGrady's played 53 games so far not 66. Haters, fans, whatever. It's tough not to understand that we may have a point of concern with our last Star standing. I haven't liked what I've seen (body language, perceived effort, etc) this past week, and it looks to me like a passive-aggressive plea for a week off. I'm starting to expect the Rockets to announce that McGrady will miss 3-4 games for "soreness." McGrady looked to take time off in early April last year until JVG publicly called him (and the rest of the team) out. Evan
Yeah, you can only rely on T-Mac for a 22 game win streak with Yao, and a 10 game win streak without him. Damn, he's really starting to suck. Why is it so hard to believe the ENTIRE team is exhausted?? It's obvious. We play great for a half, and then run out of gas. 2 games in a row. Getting $20mil/yr doesn't change that fact. I know no one wants to lose, but Jesus...
Oh, and as I recall we've lost a grand total of THREE games since McGrady came back from injury. Man, T-Mac SUCKS!!
tmac looked horrible last night... but who didn't?? they need some rest.. but damn tmac looked the worst of everyone, like when Peja stole the ball and went coast to coast and tmac just jogged after him, GET ON YOUR HORSE AND BEAT THAT **** TMAC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only reason Peja was able to get the steal was b/c you weren't respecting him trying to post him up at the 3-point line... bah............
didn't tmac rest the whole 4th quarter in the boston game? i didn't expect him to be that tired, but, i guess the late plane, and crap had to do with it. but for a veteran, shouldn't you be used to that?
I know right. Everyone wants to jump on the bandwagon during the 22 game win streak but we lose two, and now everybody wants to kick the Rockets while they are down. I swear, Houston fans are just ridiculous. It only took two loses for everyone to lose their minds and go crazy on T-Mac.
make you point. don't make stuff up. this blog entry by fran isn't quite my tatse, but almost everything you said here is a lie. terrible post.
Exhaustion? We all watch the same guy play every game. Scola playing 35 minutes the way he plays (relentless hustle) > McGrady playing 48 minutes the way he plays (walking around, mostly lazy, last one up the court most of the time) Tired? Please. Not for $20 mil a year and when you've already had an upteen game vacation in the middle of your 7 month a year job.
I've been a T-MaC supporter my whole NBA life and it kills me to watch T-MaC just take the loss without showing any fight in him. I dont understand how he has no competitiveness in him when he plays with guys like shane battier and Luis Scola and Yao Ming.
