I expect around 20ppg, but T-Mac could surprise. Depends on when he comes back and how healthy he is when he does come back. He says he expects to be back by the first pre-season game. That scares me, but I guess it might also be a good thing. I expect and hope for good things from T-Mac. Hating on him doesn't help us, either way.
any decent player can average 20 or above if they take enough shots. the real question is how much will his ppg contribute to the team winning.
If Tmac stay with the Rockets and sign a reasonable contract and in the 2010 offseason, we can sign a superstar like Wade, Bosh, or Joe Johnson along with Tmac and the roster we build up, man we will be a nasty team. We just need a young center like a Zaza or something. Yao is done and I believe he cannot contribute after this surgery.
I didn't vote because my answer would be 40+. Seriously though, IF he plays, he should be better than he was last year when he was hobbled. If he could average 15 ppg last year, I don't see why he couldn't this year. So I say that it's almost certain that he'll at least be in the 10-19 range. But take into account that there's no Yao and no Artest or really anybody who's ever been a go to guy in this league and I think he stands a pretty decent chance of averaging 20+ if only because he'll be taking 20+ shots per game.
He'll be playing for a contract on a team that might not have much to play for. I'll say definitely 17+ PPG. Maybe slightly over 20. This, of course, assuming he's able to make it back in first place.
You bring up a good point that I forgot to think about...efficiency. You're right, I don't necessarily want 20+ points from him if it takes a ton of touches. As DD says, his efficiency will be key.
T-slack will rise from the ashes and turn back to T-MAC and rule the NBA once again current Mcgrady to this by the way, why did Mcgrady stop wearing that thing in his leg? that was his trade mark.... maybe if he put it back on all his injuys will be gone..jk
Yes. I will give T_Mac tons of shoot, even he keeps on unmaking them. Just for the reason he is my Dog=God!
Well that's a bad option because the last time he shot 25 shots a game (never happened, most was 24), he averaged 32.
If you shoot 25 shots per game and make 40% of them, that's 10 makes per game which would be 20 ppg before even factoring in 3 pointers and free throws.
Major rep points headed your way, kyle8675309! I think we can save this poll by just pretending the options are % instead of PPG.
