And in the close games the Rockets have won, sans the Suns game, who has taken over? T-Mac. T-Mac against the Jazz, T-Mac against the Bobcats, T-Mac against the Clippers, and despite not winning the game, T-Mac against the Grizzlies.

T-Mac didn't drive because after Raja was getting torched in 1st quarter, they switched Marion on him and he couldn't get passed him. He drived like craz in 2nd and 3rd, but no fouls were being called, and when they were he couldn't hit a FT.

82games shows these stats for players in "clutch time" (last 5 minutes of 4th quarter and overtimes, neither team ahead by more than 5). Interesting results early this season:

    Code:
          [b] %Jumpers %Jumpers (in clutch) Foul% (min) (in clutch)[/b]
    T-mac 75% 70% 33.3% (19)
    Kobe 74% 75% 27.3% (11)
    LeBron 60% 57% 20.5% (42)

    And a year ago:
    Code:
          [b] %Jumpers %Jumpers (in clutch) Foul% (min) (in clutch)[/b]
    T-Mac 80% 82% 6.2% (121)
    Kobe 77% 84% 14.8% (223)
    LeBron 66% 68% 16.9% (198)
    Wade 62% 70% 15.4% (119)

Note that last season, all of these players shot a higher percentage of jumpers at the end of close games. Early this year (and, yes, it's a small sample size), T-mac is actually shooting less percentage of jumpers than Kobe.

Here's my point. Great players, at the end of games, will get more defensive attention. Teams are going to send more help when they put the ball on the floor. So, naturally, it's more difficult to get shots at the basket.

What I find more interesting is the discrepancy in fouls drawn. Kobe actually has taken a higher percentage of jump shots, but the rate at which he drew fouls in the clutch last season just dwarfed T-Mac's. That means (1) he's much better at drawing contact with his jump shots via pump fakes (much like Wade), and/or (2) when he does take the ball to the basket, he's better at drawing fouls.

I'm sure that you are a Chinese who is critical of T-MAC, whether T-MAC doing good or bad.

Look your English, damn! Even worse than me. Man, you really impress on me.

Players not always doing perfect, you have to know that, and you can't criticize them depend upon few games.

Be honest, does T-MAC doing bad job in the rockets? I don't think so.
