Without him, we STILL haven't gotten out of the first round.

this team needs to get it together without him for the next month. this can be a good thing since our schedule is relatively weak. LET'S GO ROCKETS!

You're a very emotional and overdramatic fan.

It's getting harder and harder for the McGrady apologists around here. It's fairly simple: McGrady looks for spots where he can coast; on the court and off it. He's demonstrated that habit endlessly the last couple of years here. Without a coach that will keep a fire under him, he'll mail it in where ever he sees an opening. Stretches during a game, more and more on defense, and with in-season vacations.

He mailed it in with his rehab. He mails it in if he thinks Yao and Artest can hold down the fort. It's who he is these days. I don't think it's much of a coincidence that he's voluntarily bowing out just as Battier rejoins the team. If Yao or Artest gets hurt (knock on wood), I'm sure he'll accelerate his timetable.

This part of way I've been saying we need to reduce his role on the team. You can't have your franchise player be flaky and a part time contributor. If McGrady needs to be a part time player, fine. Reduce his minutes, reduce his workload, reduce your dependency on him.

I think he said it himself that he didn't want to "mail it in" (to use your terminology) because Battier was hurt. That was supposed to mean that he cared enough to play hurt until Battier could come back to relieve him. I don't see any problem with that.

Unless, of course, if his injury is not real.

I don't think it's much of a coincidence that he played when the rockets have many games on national tv.

    Tmac screws it up again!

As Adelman said, the first thing is that we need to be in playoffs!

    I'm enjoying our conversation...

Yao screwed it up last season, not Tracy.

I believe many people here know that, if Tmac didn't miss many games in the early season every year, Yao wouldn't be overloaded!

Tmac should take some responsibilities for Yao's injuries!
