It was said by many people Tmac usually had good performance when a game was on national tv.

Even though doctors say the pain is all in his head, and another doctor said he will be back in a week, Dr. McGrady is probably still holding himself out because his vagina hurts.

I told you guys in the other threads that this was coming....He is dealing with some personal issues and he has to get those things taken care of first... Like I said then it was going to get worse before it got better, he just can't seperate the off the court issues from on the court...... We will just have to hope everything gets cleared up enough that he can come back and contribute.

Did you watch the 2nd Spurs game?

Not sure what your point is, but the team is plain inconsistent. It does need McGrady to have a much better chance at winning. Whether he's the McGrady of old or just a decoy. BUT...if he says he can come back healed and ready...I say give him friggin' 6 weeks.

I'm obviously a supporter, but if he says he'll have the explosiveness back and all that, I'm going to expect it when he gets back. If he's not ready in 3 weeks, I want him to take the necessary steps to get ready. Sit, play less, I don't care.

I want the McGrady from the Dallas series in the playoffs. I want to raise my hands in disbelief when he finally makes it past the first round along with Yao, along with Rafer, Head, Battier...everyone who has been here since at least that Dallas series.

No way we are back to the "personal problems" excuse . . . .

Me too man, me too. It's been such a long drought. At this point it would almost feel like winning the championship just to get out of the 1st round.

It's hard to believe the Rockets haven't advanced since Barkley's first year. That seems so long ago..wait, it WAS so long ago. :(

He did say everything he needed to say. I like how Artest was real positive about him not being in the line up. Battier should be back tomorrow from what I've been hearing.

I think everyone wants the McGrady from the Dallas series. It's not going to happen. I think Yao and McGrady are the only ones from that series left.

I don't buy that this is just a ploy to save himself for the 2010 season. Does T-Mac really think that if next season, he has a stellar year, GMs will forget about all his "health" issues, and simply resign him to another 6 year Max contract? Hmm.....strike that. After what Isaiah Thomas did with the Knicks, there probably are GMs out there who would do this....But I dont' think Morey would be that dumb..!

In a perfect world, NBA players would not have fat cushy guaranteed contracts so that they can sit out whenever they broke a finger nail, and the team is helpless to respond. In this circumstance, Medical doctors have concluded that T-Mac needs to play to strengthen his knee. Yet T-Mac, a man with a high-school degree, has decided "THREE WEEKS" is needed. If I were the Rocket's management, I would like last year, be very angry at T-Mac.

Ok, I see your point. While he may play better, I doubt the number of national tv games would change his mind (and the doctors) on when to come back.

I have a feeling he (and the coaches) may wait and see how the team is doing without him. If we are winning by the time he is ready to come back, he may think it's in the team's best interest to rest a couple more weeks. Think about it, if we were (very hypothetical) to go 10-5 in December without Tracy, wouldnt you want him to rest a couple more weeks to be sure he is ready to come back for the rest of the season?

Id like to see him back for the Utah game on the 27th. I hate Utah.

Not surprising. At this point, I think this is the best course of action. I'd rather see a slightly healthier T-Mac come April/May, then no T-Mac at all.

To be honest, I don't care about him anymore!

If Morey treat him like that the knicks treat Marbury, let him sit out of the rest of his life, I wouldn't mind!

Because, and only because he said what I bold, I will temper my opinion and renew my expectations of him. If he comes back w/o quickness or explosiveness he's just another player not worthy of his pay.

and I guess you wouldn't mind being in the lottery either.

    No TMAC = no playoffs

I believe our guys can make playoffs without him. Even though they couldn't, a lottery pick would be good for this team.
