McGrady is just setting the stage to come back in 2 weeks, then tell everyone how tough he is that he came back early.

I disagree. I never got the feeling last year that he was concerned about his scoring average which I believe was his lowest since he became a star in Orlando.

I think the only stat that concerns him is 0-7.

I didn't follow him as a Magic player, but I'm not surprised to hear he was selfish, etc., as a young and immature player. But as a Rocket I don't feel we've seen that kind of a guy especially with the last couple of years.

No, I guess that the ESPN guys are going to joking around whole week for their prediction that the rockets can not stay health, and claim they were right, I told you so, Lalala. For me, missing of three weeks will not be a big deal for the current team, but others have to stay health, and complete every night.

A doctor will say whether someone can play, not that they should play. Playing never healed anything.

As far as what the team doctor says, the team doctor works for the team not Tmac. If the team's goals and Tmac's goals are the same, then the doctor has Tmac's interest at heart. However, if the team wants Tmac to break a leg (so to speak), then the team doctor is diametrically opposed to Tmac's best interest.

Man, some of you guys are immature. You are entitled to your opinions of people and your right to criticize, but some sure do it in a childish manner. Throw name-calling on top of it. Boy, you are all so clever and witty.

This is a blessing in disguise. **** just sit him out until after the All Star break so we know for sure he doesnt come back too early.. We got the depth to easily hold the fort up while hes out.. I bet our team shooting will go up with T-Mac out.. He is such a liability on Defense too.. God it seems like his bones are made out of egg shell. I love him when hes on but it seems like now adays hes off more than on..

look at it this way. The team will have to gain chemistry now. I think T-mac see's us not re-uping him so he's worried about T-mac and not pushing himself to win.

Hope not to hear from you until then.

Let him get his rest now. We need him as healthy as possible at the end of the season, not the other way around.

I won't bet you that he'll return sooner, because I think that's exactly what he will do. He just needs alittle time to get his head on straight, it's not about the knee at all. It's all between the ears. Though he's probably cementing the fact that the rockets are probably going to have to play a real MoFo(Spurs, Suns ect.) in the 1st round of the playoffs.

I think he looked at the schedule this month to see how much time he could take off, and determined he could miss the next three weeks without hurting the team too much. And, looking at the schedule myself, I agree. We should be able to handle it OK without him.

I am wondering, if we had many games on national tv this month, would Tmac be out? I highly doubt he would come back strongly next month since we don't have many games on national tv next month either.

    you guys are a joke

this is the best time for him to rest...

you guys looked at our schedule?????

at the beginning of the year we were all saying that it was fine if he takes 2-3 weeks to rest his knee since we all saw that he is still hurt and can't play defense to save his life...

well, now that he is doing it you guys bash him?

the doctors were saying that he should play to strengthen his knee after surgery. I guess that's not the case now, but that was the case just yesterday

I doubt any vet player cares about being on national tv. If he were younger and wanted more exposure, then I'd say that could possibly be a reason, but unlikely.

now you're just reaching into the tmac-hater zone. if he wanted to lead the league in scoring, he wouldn't come here in the first place, deferred to a yao who wasn't even a star in his first month here and averaged 18 ppg.

if he really cared about stats, he would have sat out after the mavs game or earlier (the LA debacle). why keep playing then after scoring a whopping 3 points in 2 games? why cheered ron artest on on the sidelines v. the mavs and not even play one minute of the 4th?

so yes, you're going to get a lot of flak b/c those are just really ridiculous statements.

I like how he addressed the situation. He kind of said all the right things. Good for him. Of course, I'll wait for people to somehow rip him for something he said.
