oh this board by the typical tmac posters, tmac is like an average player it seems like. thank god they're not the GMs
Nobody is saying that T-Mac is an average player. People like me just don't idolize T-Mac like you do. I want the Rockets to win, and believe that, in both long and short term scenarios, the best way to do that is to trade T-Mac for talent that compliments the Rocket's franchise player, namely that 7'6" Chinese guy named Yao Ming. Ask around here. I used to slam Yao Ming. So I'm not beholden to any player on the roster. Please quit the melodrama and acting like honest criticisms of T-Mac are just by "haters", you pesky little newbie!
if u read my other post, i would be willing to trade tmac IF IT MAKES US BETTER. tmac's value is at an all-time low (injuries, bad perception around the league right now, and he makes 20 mil...). who can u get for him really? unless u can get back at least a 2nd tier star (borderline superstar), then i'll def. pull the trigger. i don't want to get back decent players like maggette or ben gordon, b/c that's what we're going to get if we trade tmac. i'd trade anybody on this team. i'd trade tmac if we can get a legit PF + an all-star wing i'd trade yao if i can get dwight howard + good shooting PG nobody's untouchable. those 2 guys haven't prove they can do jack in the playoffs.
Neither Redd nor McGrady have won anything significant in their careers. In fact, their records were basically identical before one of them got paired with the best center in the league. I mean, who is the best player that Redd has ever played with? Sam Cassell? Ray Allen? Well those guys were only around for a year once Redd became a starter. Hard to contribute any of that team's success or failure to him. Since they left, the best player he's had around him is probably an aging Toni Kukoc. I really wouldn't use winning/losing in an argument for Tracy, unless I wanted to lose it.
I'm not entirely opposed to trading Tmac (though I really want to use him in the 6th Man/Manu role, and hopefully restructure that contract of his), but Redd is horrible. He's as much of a black hole for the ball as anybody there has ever been. Just say no to Redd. I almost rather go for the Marbury + Unprotected draft picks deal.
For a game or a series, I'd rather have T-Mac. But if T-Mac's going to play 50 games, and Redd is going to play 75 games, I'd rather have Redd.
You make me want to puke on you. Give me Duncan, Ginoboli and Parker in their prime and I can assure I would build a championship team around them. You can build a winner around those players when healthy. What is happening to the so called model team now. They are old and injured and that model organization can't do crap about it. This is a players league. Always has been always will be and the Spurs didn't become the model organization until they tanked the 1997 season and got lucky bounce in the lottery. They drafted a player called Duncan and the rest is history. The model organization's motto is "when the going gets tough tank. If Van Dummy would have followed this model and tanked a little bit we would have Roy instead of Battier. So maybe you our right we should have the tanking spur model.
Can someone please post a new thread with a poll with TMac and DWade much like this one. I'm curious to see those results. I never could figure out how to do poll threads
dwade has his team in a 15 game LOSING streak in the freaking east. tmac had a 19 game losing streak in orlando and dwade's supporting cast ain't that bad (plus he has pat riley as his coach).
Redd is overrrated. He doesn't have the complete game that Tmac has. His team sucks with him being the number 1 option, and it is not like his team has no talents.
I don't know why I voted for Tmac. He is so fragile... miss a game cus of flu like symptom wtf is that. I know Tmac is gifted but what good is a talent if he is not even in the game.
Are people just mentioning a trade for Redd because they have been following the Yi movement? The guy only made the all star team once? If this crappy trade happens years later people will remmeber this as being similar to the WEBBER FOR MICH RICHMOND trade. Which you all know how well that went.
Weber for Richmond is a bad example. Richmond was aging and on the decline, while Webber was in his prime. In our case, T-Mac is over his peak, and is on the decline. Redd has many more years left at the level he's playing now, and his talents suit our team's needs right now more than T-Mac's abilities do. That's just my humble opinion.
