As a working class American, I can honestly say that we suffer big time. Sometimes. Now tell me, is there any bit of truth to that perception of Chinese sharing their women? ::crosses fingers and books ticket to China:: ;)

"_OF" has to be the most annoying, irritating, and meaningless thing ever used on this board.

Thats because there are no more dominant big men left in the game. Shaq is winding down, Yao is not there yet. There just are not any big men left in the league. Duncan is the only closest thing but he is not flashy and doesnt like to put up numbers.

10 years ago there was hakeem, shaq, robinson, ewing, deke, and more. But today, the game has swung towards the guards.

Well, I don't know WHY the US media is making such a BIG DEAL about TMAC selling more jerseys than Yao Ming in China. Do they know something called FAB ???

TMAC and Allen Iverson visited China in August, promoting their shoes, and caused some whirlwind in Shanghai and Beijing.

So it is natural that their jerseys became selling like hot pies after their visit.

But does that REALLY mean they are MORE popular than Yao Ming in China ??

OF COURSE NOT......NO WAY !!!!

After all, the Chinese have been buying enough of Yao Ming's jerseys already. So why can't the US media give Yao Ming a break ??

did anyone watch 'quite frankly' on ESPN2 tonight? SAS spent first 10 minutes ripping Yao. Only his second show. I guess this is how he can promote the rating.

So where did TMac's jersey sales rank in China BEFORE joining the Rockets? Did Steve Francis sales go down after being traded?

I have a friend in China I email from time to time and he's told me that Yao is such a familiar star over there and more people are intrigued by the other NBA stars.

It's kinda like having the same girlfriend for many years that after awhile you tend to look at others from afar.

He was saying people people in China should get a big round of applause for making TMAC not Yao the No.1 jersey seller in China, because nobody should want to buy Yao's jersey even if he is their countryman. He said he couldn't understand why Yao is 7'5" but isn't playing well and is always hurting ( yeah right). Just his normal spill of bullsh!t, I would be kicking myself if I watch another sec when he is on.
