T-Mac didn't even show up for the Suns game again. I don't know what's going on with him but if we can learn something from Orlando it's trade high. Look what the Magic got for SF. I'm not saying give up on T-Mac I still believe he'll come around, but his value as a player clearly peaked in Orlando and it only has one place to go now and that's down.

maybe he realized his shot was off and didnt want to take too many shots. I do wish he could learn to get to the line like Kobe (he just has a knack for getting to the FT line)

TMac whatever it is I hope you shake it off soon. He is the leader of this team and people need to back up and realize everyone goes through slumps for Mac it was health and person issues (one after the other) I think his body is fine he is now just in a shooting slump.

Maybe SUN's game plan was to stop TMac at all cost and let Yao beat them? The comment from Sun's coach sure sounds like that... and it worked too.

That most certainly was not the game plan. Yao was swarmed every single time he had the ball. I'm not even sure T-mac saw a double team except for a couple times on the pick and roll.

Credit where credit is due, Tracy was doubled a lot in the Clippers game and that opened this up for other guys, but that was not the case against the suns.

maybe rocks should move tracy back to the backcout, start bogans at sf and see if lampe's height is of any use as the backup sf?

Here's a thought...you said it yourself, why is Carter back? He must have gotten over whatever is bothering him.

Let T-Mac get over whatever is bothering him. He'll be back to normal, just like Carter, he is ****ed up due to injuries.

I'm advocating rest for T-Mac, I don't know if it will happen, but that's what I want to happen.

But all in all, yes, I do agree, T-Mac needs to find some way to step up. I hope he gets out of this slump. I miss those days NOT TOO LONG AGO where he dropped 40 in 2 consecutive nights. He looked fine then....

Knee and Back problem never get better - they only get worse over time. The only way to cure it is to quit playing basketball which obviously is not going to happen.

You're right that this team needs a third option - badly. There needs to be someone who can put up 15 points a night on a consistent basis. A mobley type player...quick and a solid scorer. Wouldn't hurt to have a rebounder either.

That's not going to happen this season, but hopefully something in the off season can be done. We seem to have a decent pick in the draft and perhaps packaging that with Head and Swift may be worth while. Bogans can be a decent sg, but we'd need a pf to get more rebs and points....or keep swift and get like I said - a mobley like player.

DA obviously was not the answer.

Complete game log for Tmac 05-06:
    http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/gamelog?playerId=532

    Nov 22.1 (.395) / 8.7 / 4
    Dec 25.5 (.409) / 6.5 / 5.8
    Jan 31.5 (.438) / 6.8 / 4.9
    Feb 19.4 (.354) / 5.3 / 4.6

In Nov he played one game, injured and missed 3, then played another 5 games (he was obviously playing hurt in the fifth, that's the DET game where I posted on this very board stating that he should sit and my did I get it from some of you guys). That game he shot .188.

Dec, he played every single game, in one game he only played 20 mins against UTA where he logged 21 points. He did have a 7 points game against the crappy TOR playing for 44 minutes shooting only .182, but he sorta made up for it with 11 ats 2 blks and 8 rbs, but we still lost that game.

In Jan he averaged 31.5 points! He started the month with three 30+ points games, then was injured again in the fourth playing only 19 mins. Came back after 5 games and was dropping 30s and 40s all over the place. He got his revenage on DET with a 43/9/5 effort but as a team we lost that game. A crazy month that people apparently forgotten about - he was playing without Yao until the last game.

Okay people who said he has been sucking for the whole month were not exactly right. He had some good games in Feb, although his shooting percentage really went down the sh|TTeR. Note the FTA, some of us are right that he stopped driving. Also note that in the past he has gotten away with his little Js cause his shots were falling so no one really cared, for example, against MIL on Jan 23 he had 41/8/3 shooting 17/32 with only 4 FTs and we won the game.

Look, I admit, Tmac has some physical and mental problems combined; but trade Tmac? Are you guys nuts? I wouldn't give Tmac for the whole Knicks team.

i agree, tmac and yao are the focal points of the team, tmac has just had a acrappy year, he had a decent game against philly we lost cuz rafer and wes cant hit a damn shot, in the offseason we need to draft and through free agency get some shooters that can make wide open shots

its not the stats. its the heart. and im sorry to say this but tmac lately has played with little heart. in the first half of tonights game he kept driving in and actaully showed emotion. even that three he hit he showed emotion. but for the rest of the 4th quarter he wasn't ON. so why is he refraining from driving in? he can still beat his man. they can still set up plays to get him inside. but he just doesn't do that.

There's NO way you trade T-Mac! All these people wanting to trade him are crazy. I LOVE Stevie and was pissed off when they traded him and Cat but T-Mac won me over last season. The things he can do when he is healthy (emotionally and physically) are unmatched in the league (besides maybe Kobe, who doesn't make his teammates better).

Right now, he is not all there mentally and emotionally. I saw his interview last night where he said that in EVERY single season that he has been in the league, someone close to him has DIED! That's gotta take a toll on you, I don't care who you are. After a while you probably feel like it is your fault. I know I would be damaged mentally and emotionally if that happened to me. Just cause he makes millions doesn't mean he is not a human being!

Kobe was able to do it while his freedom was in jeopardy but he was probably pretty confident that he would not be going to prison as most everyone in America was...after all $ buys freedom in this country and most countries right? $ talks.

Can't do **** when you don't get the ball like you should in the 4th. I don't care if he wins or loses the game for us in the 4th, I still want the ball in his or Yao's hands. I want them to make the decision to shoot or pass off. I love our other guys, but T-Mac should be the person bringing the ball up in the final minutes of close games.
