I'd like to say that TM's problem comes from his heart, not his back. I know he is undergoing a tough time right now. But come on, it is also a critical time for Rockets. Anyway, he has tons of time to wail for his dead relatives/friends after the playoff. No matter what, we need last year's TM to be back right now. Without him, I don't see much chance against the upper division teams, like SA or Dallas. TM, head up!
Well Tmac has a fragile body. Can't do too much about that now. As to his heart, well I believe in him because I have to, since he is here to stay. If he doesn't, then Yao won't get a championship since Yao won't go anywhere else either.
Tracy McGrady has been responsible for more wins over the past 2 years than all other Rockets combined, including Yao (and Yao's my favorite player). As much as his play lately is a concern, I think he has earned the benefit of the doubt. Let's just wish him well and hope for the best.
TMAC is the best that Rox can get and he is definately better than SF. However, Rox need to find a replacement as quicly as possible before TMAC running out of the excuses.
See, I dont have a problem with the 33% shooting. That can be fixed cuz he does not normally shoot that bad. What I am concerned about is the 0-0 FT shots. Meaning he did not even try to drive in much.
I was at the game tonight and the were doing a segment on Fill in the Blank with Tracy McGrady... One of the questions, aside from Whats your favorite restaurant, (Yao's Restaurant) Who would you want to play as yourself in a movie (Will Smith) What was your least favorite memory as a rookie? (Shorts Falling Down bc of him not tying them) but the last question being: "Why did you choose #1 as your jersey number?" The answer really surprised me... "Because I wanted to be first in anything... I want to be the best in anything that I do..." HAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAH... aside from your personal problems T-MAC, if you want to be the best (a la LeBron, Kobe, YAO...) play like you do! Don't just say it and then not perform like you wanna be #1 (Your Jersey Number!!!!!) Talk is cheap nowadays!
I agree. I mean, c'mon, the dude's mother in law just died from Parkinson's. Give him some frickin time. The man is devastated. He'll get his groove back. Even though the tradition on Clutchfans is to turn on our players at the slightest mistake, Tmac has MORE than earned the benefit of the doubt. Cut the man some slack. He'll be back to form in no time.
Dudes please just calm down! We are still a good team! we are 10-3 in February, that's better than what we've expected back in Janurary's posts. we WILL make the playoff as long as one of our stars shines, and we WILL be title contender when both stars shine! just give T-Mac a break, let him settle down with his whatever problems and when he's back to the old T-Mac along with monster yao, we'll roll!
Ever since Juwon nearly knocked him out on a rebound, he looked like he had had enough. Juwon will kill his own teammate going for a rebound.
At the very least TMAc needs to be the 4th QUarter man Let Yao carry us 90% of the way and Tmac put us over the top I been sayin it for weeks now. . . YAO is the most important part of this team Rocket River
I just wish TMac could get over these offcourt stuff, at least when he is in the game. I know it is a tough time for him, which is why he should be tougher as the team leader.
Tmac is going to the funeral on Tuesday. So I don't expect him to play well this Wednesday. I hope he picks up after that. But I feel that Tmac won't be mentally back this season. If he does, it will be more as a miracle than as expected.
For TMAC, it is not all about his shooting slump, while it is more about his passion to play on the court. He seems to lose focus on playing in last couple of weeks and even doesn't try to help the rockets like he used to do. 0 ft, 1 rb tonight is an obvious proof. This is unexcusable. He earns like $200,000 for each game played. So at least he should stay focused and devoted himself to say the least. I think he is lack of the mental toughness, when he found Yao is doing great down low, he will be happy to settle on jump shots because that is the easiest way of a play. I know he looks forwarding to that as he stated it when he was traded to Houston. This is Ok when the rockets face weak teams and Yao plays great, but when facing up with elite teams, he should not end up with that only.
Oh, sorry, maybe the other team will be more sensitve in the next game and let him have a free run to the rack.
