I think T-mac is going to be just like Karl Malone, John Stockton, Charles Barkeley, Reggie Miller...someone who was a great player...but never won the championship. He came to Houston looking for a championship with Yao, well Yao has been awesome after the toe injury, and even before he was quite consistent with his points (probably not great) but consistent. Well now that Yao is becoming a beast....where is T-mac? ARrrrrrrrrrrrgh...im just pissed off.
another thing about mcgrady we had 3 1/2 mins left in the game, Yao goes out understandably, he looked hurt and limping, but why in hells name did tmac sit, man that shows no heart and no i'm not saying it because of this one time, he did it a lot last season too, if your getting blown out and have a whole quarter to go, you just sit and act like the games over, game 7 of last years playoffs ring a bell, i remember only seeing yao out their in the 4th, while tmac was on the bench tmac needs to not fold so easy, talk only gets you so far, MJ never sat like that, and say what you will about him, but neither would Kobe
ah the roles have switched, from yao being the p*ssy now tmac is...why cant they just both dominate at the same time? this $hit pisses me off
That is interesting, Yao was always very soft, but now he seems to be getting it, and playing hard every night, and his moves are much more confident, he seems to have found his place now. Tmac seems lost, he can do so much, with so little effort that if his shot is not falling, he tends to settle for the jumpshot, instead of going to the hole. Tmac could put a LOT more pressure on the opposing teams defense if he wanted to. Here is hoping that this is just a chemistry issue with Tmac trying to figure out how to play with the new monster in the middle. DD
We just need some better shooters to surround Tmac and Yao with...Tmac is ALWAYS a threat to go off on teams for 20 in a quarter...and as long as they know that TMAC is a friggin STUD. He may have lost a step, but if we could land some players who could hit a wide open J, Tmac would have some more room to operate. Bottomline is there are very few perimeter players, if any, I would rather have for this team than TMAC.
oh i remember that game 7. i don't think mcgrady even played in the 4th. yep, yao was the lone soldier for our team in that defeat. but when t-mac doesn't play, people talk about how yao cannot carry the team and so on, as if mcgrady would have made a huge difference (at least not how he's playing currently).
When T-mac took it to the hole and dunked it I thought he was gonna have a big game, then he pretty much faded after that. I hope Tracy can get it together soon.
I never really liked T-mac. He is a very very skilled player, probably the most skilled in the league, but the thing is he depends on his skills too much. Sometimes players just have to get things done PHYSICALLY!!! sometimes player needs to drive into the lane like a maniac when his "skills" are not working. God damn it.
I've been as frustrated as most here with T-Mac's play but dude is going through some tough things off the court in addition to his aching back. To say T-Mac is weak, finished, a has been, not great is pretty lame. He is in a funk and will find his way out of it. Thank God Yao is dominating so we are still able to win the recent games. We've all seen T-Mac's greatness and he has shown hints of it this season despite the miserable start and when he is on, there's NO better player in the league. T-Mac WILL be BACK!
WTF.... JVG sat him down You guys are so fickle it's not even funny. WHen T-mac plays good he's the second coming and when he plays bad it's **** . I wish I could dig out what you guys said after first 2 games of last year's playoffs against Dallas and I'm sure most of you feel ashamed.
dig all you want, i've never said anything bad about players but since he's our SUPERSTAR player along with ming, he has to shoulder the blame and i just told you my observations about mac, if he told JVG he didnt want to sit, don't you think van gundy would have let him play? just saying he has to develop a killer instict and not just fold in blow out games
That's why I kept saying Tmac has to prove to the world that he's capable of doing things that a superstar should do. I don't care what personal problem he has, he's getting paid millions and millions of dollars just to play the dame game, if he kept using excuse, then he should work at walmart and get paid at couple dollars an hours, and see how old will he be when he finally gets his first million.............. Look at Kobe, facing a prosiblitity that he will end up in prison for the rest of his life, I don't think you can get bigger excuse than this, but this is guy just kept fighting whenever he's on court, and act like nothing in the world is going to stop him. Come on, Tmac........................................
And what if he's injured like Swift in garbage time? Is it worth it? When we lost everyone needs to be blamed and you can blame T-mac all you want for his PERFORMANCE. But please dont blame him sitting out garbage time or something like this, it's nonsense....
