1.) "I passed a government logic exam, thus I am a master at logic"

This is called a "hasty generalization", it is a logical fallacy

2.) "One time I was weight lifting and then went to go play basketball and my shot was off, thus arms are the most important part of shooting"

    This is another hasty generalization.

3.) "Typical recovery time for surgery is x, Tmac took longer than x to recover, thus he must not of rehabbed properly"

    Yet a third hasty generalization!

Poor Wekko, you just arent very good at this. Heres the thread:

You can go ahead and read the final bullet point in my post, where it clearly says Nash is the superior point guard. Thats okay though, I commend your effort.

Sure, most things are logical fallacies when you misquote them and take things out of context. And you think that little test is the reason I think I'm logical? What if I were to tell you I aced my logic classes in college? Or that I'm an accountant? A cpa?

This is also another misquote. I guess it's pretty easy to prove your point when you're fabricating all your support.

What's funny is in that argument, the only people who disagreed with me were the ones who didn't lift weights (by general standards) and thus have no knowledge about the topic.

And another misquote. You really are an idiot. You're generalizing the timetables to try to prove your point. I don't blame you though. If you said, "typical recovery time for arthro is 6 weeks; Tmac took over 6 months but that doesn't mean he didn't rehab properly", you'd look like a fool. Your sugarcoated version was the slogan for all McGrady apologists.

I actually asked a few doctors about this. Assuming that the surgery itself was a success (no complications), they said the worst case scenario would be that it didn't fix the underlying problem. If this happened and he rehabbed properly, then he should've started the season in the same shape that he ended the playoffs in. They also said that arthro was a minor surgery with a recovery time of a few weeks.

    From that thread...post 641 regarding Brooks/Nash:

You clearly take alot of pride in whatever it is you do IRL as its come up numerous times, so congrats to you. Despite whatever accomplishment you have, it seems to make you think your opinions are automatically right and logically correct.

Thats not really what my issue is with you anyway. I don't really mind people whose opinions are different from mine, no matter how silly thier reasoning is. I constantly disagree with Leeb, DaDa, heck even Kwame. The difference between them and you is your constant lack of tact and courtesy in your posts.

You are a rude individual who lacks general reading comprehension when it comes to opposing view points.

larsv8, dude that government logic exam is the standard man. people tell me whoever take those are like the top 0.0000000000000000000000001% of the country.

wekko is right. he doesn't have any flaw in his argument AT ALL, EVER.

no point in arguing with the most logical person in the world. we're just idiots ;)

Yes. I must take a lot of pride in what I do since I've mentioned it one time. And in regards to my opinions, I form them after doing the necessary research. So yes, they are usually right and logically correct.

Actually, if you look back at the Nash/Brooks thread, you'll see that I was originally quite polite with you.

That being said, you're the type of poster who will voice an argument, have it proven wrong, and then voice the same argument in a different thread. But maybe if I publicly ridicule you when you make these inane arguments, it'll prevent you from posting the same invalid argument in the future.

So yes, I may be rude and I may lack tact in these forums. But on the other hand, you don't think Brooks is on par with Nash anymore, do you?

Think back to all the debates we've had. Every time you brought up an argument to counter one of my contentions, I proved it to be either irrelevant or illogical. Does that show a lack of general reading comprehension on my part?

If you'd like, you can check that Nash/Brooks thread....plenty of examples there.
