Dear Tracy, Actions speak louder than words. Show that you mean it by rehabbing appropriately, coming back in a timely manner, and maybe even giving the Rockets a significant discount when you become a free agent again. Although we know that last one won't happen. So I guess it's ~30 million down the drain given the amount of time you won't be playing for us huh. And to think that it could all have been preventable. Or performed earlier. We would have had a better record at this point if Tracy just took the year off.
"The injuries have really taken a toll on me, and I can’t help but feel like I’m letting everyone down by not being out there with my teammates."
This has been a positive past few days for the organization. It looked very dark just a week ago. 1. Team is playing well, on a mini-winning streak, challenging for the home court. 2. Somewhat ugly TMac situation resolved, at least to the extent that he is no longer a distraction. 3. Rafer trade was panned by many, but Brooks is playing to make everyone forget about the trade very quickly. 4. Artest is finally coming around.
Look...everyone look... Even if Tmac rehabs perfectly...this is a big surgery for him. It may be too late for him.
Don't b**** now. I hate when fans forget what McGrady did for Houston Rockets. He did SOMETHING, I mean it will never be great as the championships in the 90's but he DID carry this team to the playoffs every time. The last two years we wouldn't even sniff playoffs without T-Mac. I wish him well, I hope he can recover.
man, it sounds like the rockets held a gun to tmac's head and told him what to write It pretty much covered every single rumor and negative story written throughout the season. Altough i do think there's some PR involved here, i think there's too much apologizing on tmac's behalf for him not to mean it. He's pretty much saying he was the only one to blame here and to a certain extent even implies he could of gave a little more effort when rehabbing, etc. I think any superstar would be too proud to put it all on them unless they didn't mean it. I just hope he comes back in time to play several weeks, whether he stays here or not, i don't want the team in a situation where they have to trade or let go of a rehabbing tmac. There's still a decent chance of him truly coming back to his old self and the best thing for both he and the team is for him to comeback and play and then decide how the future will go.
It's good to see that the chemistry with the team is still good enough that Shane Battier agreed to write this apology for McGrady.
I find this kinda written apology a mute point. Something like should have been said on camera. Hopefully it does get him healthy enough so that he does have some value as a trade option next year.
