The team hasn't really improved since they got him. I think they were .500 and everyone was saying Doc Rivers was like the best coach ever. Then McGrady comes, and they're pretty much still the same. I'd have to agree with those who say he's overrated. Put Tim Duncan in his place, and the Magic probably win the East. And people put him in Duncan's class? Right.

To suggest that the Orlando Magic would win the East with Tim Duncan is probably false and a statement that was created on the sole bases of belittling McGrady.

McGrady is one of the most skilled players in the NBA and will be for several years, unless he retires or if he sustains an injury.

The Orlando management are at fault for not providing McGrady with a strong enough supporting cast. The reason the management has failed to improve the team is because they are not willing to go beyond the luxury tax. They just can’t afford it. The Magic have been losing money for a few years now. The argument could be made that a team such as the Spurs are under the luxury tax and they won the championship last year, however, that is the extreme exception. Plus the Spurs never had the Grant Hill factor, whom we all know is a player who has been getting paid handsomely but hasn't played but a few games. Who knew drinking sprite could be so dangerious. It caused Hill to have a bum ankle and Kobe to become a possible rapist.
