Tmac always talks about retire when he is down. He did talk about retire in Magic and I think I know why.
What the heck is wrong with him now?

I don't know whether he is a quitter, also don't know Yao is a leader. But at least I know TMAC is not a leader. As a player, TMAC can do whatever he want to do. He can be a great help to a team, but simply, a team cannot count on him no matter how great he is.

T-MAC has a loser mentality. I hate to say it, but it is the truth. I love his game, but his mental game sucks.

You will never hear a world class winning athlete talk like T-Mac. Carl Lewis never says he feels broken down, Muhammad Ali never said he is too old, Gold Medal swimmers never say they just arent feeling it.

There is no active player that talks about retirement more than T-Mac. Not even G Hill! So, I really dont know what to say. It's a showing of weak mentality.

I said it before and I will said it one more time, TMAC IS A JOKE COMPARE TO OTHER SUPERSTARS SUCH AS KOBE, DUNCUN, LEBRON, KG, AND SO ON...

NO HEART, NO WILL, NO HOPE, NO DETERMINATION, NO GOALS, NO FIRE, NO COMPETITIVE, NO NOTHING.

looks like tnt took it a little overboard:

    The mound can wait
McGrady says he might pursue baseball career after basketball

HOUSTON -- Rockets forward Tracy McGrady claims that he has a devastating knuckle ball that he might eventually unleash on big league hitters.

He's just not planning on doing it anytime in the near future.

The Rockets' six-time All-Star said after Thursday night's win over the Chicago Bulls that he doesn't plan on pursuing a baseball career until he's satisfied that his basketball playing days are over.

"I'm going to play baseball at the end of my (basketball) career," McGrady said. "I guess (TNT) took that to mean the end of my contract. But who knows what I'm going to do in four years?"

The questions about McGrady's future surfaced after he mentioned his desire to play baseball during an interview with TNT. The segment aired during the first half of Thursday's game.

McGrady, 27, said he would probably pursue a pitching career after he is done playing basketball.

"I think I'll be done with this game in my early 30's," McGrady said. "I would be a pitcher. I got a knuckleball, slider, changeup, curve and whatever."

McGrady talking about baseball in the middle of a basketball season is a very bad and ugnly sign. A very unprofessional statement.

Yao Ming once said that if he starts thinking about money then that's the time for him to exit the court.

A contrast. Or is it a cultural diffrence?

JVG needs to bench Tmac now. Maybe that can motivate him to play better. JVG needs to start Novak in his place. It seems to me that TMAC is injured, something seems to be wrong with him physically. But yet then the season started he states he is 100% healthy??? If TMAC does retire at 30 then he is a quitter. I better not see his jersey hanging from the Toyota Center either.

How is he unhealthy? Have you watched the games? He's getting his legs back, he's getting his groove back.

Any sign of let-up is purely mental. It's not the first time it's happened with Tmac. He'll get over it.

And coming from a Media student, I can tell you, in layman's terms, all forms of mass media will take statements and exaggerate them, because ratings is king and sensationalism gets ratings. It's something called the agenda setting theory. It's nothing new. So take it with a pinch of salt.

As a T-Mac fan I learned this of all things

He always speaks out his ass. Sometimes I thinks he does these interviews like Ace Ventura while holding his butt cheeks.

He was supposed to retire in 2004 with Orlando
In 2002 Orlando was gonna win 60 games.
Last year he was going thru undisclosed personal problems.
He claims to have lost a step and feels older than he looks.

He must be bi-polar or something. I don't take anything he says seriously anymore.

    True.

Loves drawing the spotlight to himself, or too frank and honest with his words for his own good?

    It's anyone's call.

Still, it doesn't take away from the fact that he's still a very good player now.

I realized he was talking crap as soon as the reporter asked him what would his plans be when he does retire...he was saying something about "how he has kids and family" and started to mumble....

damn you are 27 and you still dont know your position in life...that sucks my brother

    Great.

    Tiki Barber Part II.

    Prepare for the typical over-reaction.
