I don't think Rodman ever started an All Star game. Ming did, that's 1, Kidd is 2... Still 14 is low for a typical All Star starter...
I really don't think that you should consider being an all star to how many shots you take but rather how you played for your team and everything you do. Example. Ben Wallace - the guy barely takes shots but by virtue of his defense he is on the all star team, even Brad Miller. There are many players that just make the team to either popularity, which helped ming in those regards, but the number of shots doesn't equate to an all star player etc.
Right on, JeffB I'm so tired of people -- mainly the national media, particularly on ESPN -- who continue to state that Francis shot the ball too much and refused to pass to Yao. It was shot selection, not volume, as you said. I love the explosion of sports news and media, but get frustrated with the lazy reporting. TMac's offensive game dwarfs Steve's game, needless to say. We'll see if his shot selection remains kosher with Van Gundy; I think it will -- he's a smart player.
I'm not, still it's not typical for All Stars to shoot 14 shots per game, which was that other poster's point...
The other way to say this is that the players who shoot a lot usually get voted to the All-Stars. Still, this is not the point of this thread. Let's put Steve aside and talk about T-Mac!
The big thing with Francis at the Point Guard position , no matter how much he supposedly tried he didnt make any of his teammates better.and thats why he isnt going to be our Point Guard next season! He is a selfish player that is focused on stardom more than playing the team game.
Exactly. I repeat, my favorite vibe Tracy gave me during that interview was when he talked about sacrifice, might be the start of his maturation from a top 5 talent, to a top 5 player.
Damn i want to go. I really tihnk i am going to make my other manager stay for me until i get there lol
i hope rockets have live feed for yao to see the press conference and Yao can welcome T-MAC to houston
