Exactly. Tmac doesn't know what he's talking about half the time. If Rafer is truly the best PG this team has to offer look for an early playoff exit again.
Thanks for giving the entire quote! The thread implied some some static brewing already in the clubhouse. Since Tmac was only praising Alston and not James and Stevie....
Realistically, who is TRADABLE at this moment? Or is that TRADEABLE? Because the reality is few guys in the NBA have TRADE VALUE at this minute. Novak? Reed? Butler? Luke? Rafe? Who? Five guys have to go. For who (or whoms) can you get anything, let alone value?
isnt that a good thing? and if he thinks skip is the best fit than he is i think ill believe a all star and a actual teamate than some people on a forum
why all the hate..rafer is a good player and now he has some counterparts on the team that can help him out
He might be looking like the "Perfect Fit" right now, with only 2 preseason games in, but when the season starts, and Rafer starts missing his open shots and missing his lay ups on back ups, he will no longer be the "Perfect Fit." I'm just hoping T-Mac is building Rafer's trade value.
T-Mac should just wait til' the season starts before he talks his ****. He saw this same b.s All-Star play from Rafer last year in preseason.
Jeez. Even if Tmac thought that, I wished he hadn't said that out loud....is he aware that Steve Francis and Mike James have tremendous egos...or that they have peeps that keep them informed of stuff that goes on....what if one of them goes to Steve or Mike and goes "Guess what your boy Tracy said..." Man, Alston sure is making it hard for us to implement our original plan. First, he screws up his trade value by his offseason maneuvers. Then, he comes into camp looking really good so as to cause us a log jam at point guard where we had only planned on having Francis, James, Brooks.
ok, it's the girl gossip in high school again i see. francis - hey james, did u see what the main guy on our team said? he said that sucker alston is a better fit. oh my god, ima throw a tantrum. if francis/james can't handle just a praise like that (and alston has played well), then you're not ready to be on a championship contending team.
Didn't Steve Francis say something like "I better start" when asked if he'll start or come off the bench? I wonder how Steve Francis thinks about not starting. He's not a bad guy, and not a bad player, but he does have an ego. And what if TMac has been wrong in the past about his predictions? This isn't a prediction, but an observation of present facts. There is no guarantee Rafer will continue to be the best and TMac didn't make that guarantee. All he said is Rafer has been the best so far. By the way, Feigan said both Yao and Luther Head told him the same thing.
I can understand Rafer being a fit for this system, but they seem to by hyping him A LOT. Makes me suspicious that they are trying to get the most for him in a trade. Honestly, looking at the roster, someone is going to have to go between Rafer, Head, and Snyder...you gotta figure Steve and Brooks aren't going anywhere.
