No, we are better off improving the team to where McGrady isn't the only guy who is capable of scoring. We've done that in my opinion to an extent, but we still have major deficiencies.

Tracy McGrady shouldn't be taking 20+ shots for a good team. He's just not good enough at this point.

I agree but the fact that he had to take 20+ shots explains his inefficiency. If he was on a great team and got to choose his spots, he'd take better shots. A lot of times in the last few playoffs, he's had to take shots that he didn't want to. He simply didn't have any other choice. Teammates weren't helping him on offense.

Ideally no one takes 20+ shots this year since we have three great players and a bunch of good role players.

Yes they should have. Even without Yao we still had a pretty good chance but other than McGrady and Scola no one else stepped up!!!!!

 Are you serious. Many people questioned if we would even make the playoffs after Yao went down. Add to the fact that Rafer missed 2 games and played injured along with Battier hobbling around.

very serious. The jazz are good but they are not that good they got the calls we didn't. Yes Shane was hurt i agree but what about the other 11 guys on the team. McGrady played hard and Scola did his thing so what happened to the other 9. Landry had one good game. Without Yao yeah it would be hard for us to win but we still should have won.

in his first 2 playoff series with the magic, he shot 41% respectively. so the average of 43% is reasonable.

look lebron shot 41% the past 2 playoffs, are you saying he's on the decline when he shot 48-49% in the reg. season?

look all i'm saying is tmac BRINGS UP HIS PLAYING INTENSITY IN THE PLAYOFFS. and when he does that, he's a great player. that's all we can ask for.

it's obvious his mindset is not doing that in the reg. season b/c he's wildly inconsistent for the past 2 reg. seasons. i'm not expecting him to dominate every single reg. season game statistically and put up near triple doubles like he does in the playoffs.

all i know is we have him until 2010. if we still don't advance, just let him go, use that cap space, and sign another star. meanwhile, use his playoff explosiveness to good use.

the team will get healthier and we'll be fine in the playoffs. but of any player we have now, tracy is the ONLY player you can really depend on to really dominate a playoff series. b/c of that, we keep him.

again, we're talking about the statistics of a reg. season tracy mcgrady.

remember last yr, tracy was struggling BEYOND IMAGINATION. i mean, people were livid last yr at some of the stats he put up in games (i remember the hornets game on the road and phoenix game where he literally STUNK IT UP). people said he was done. he was gonna suck in the playoffs.

in the playoffs, he put up 27, 8, 7 and we played utah tough. had rafer played the entire series, it could have gone 7 games. and that's without yao OR ron.

again, i think fans should get used to this inconsistent tracy mcgrady in the reg. season. is it frustration? YES. does he warrant the $20 mil for playing this inconsistent in the reg. season? NO. b/c it is what it is.

we have a great enough team that we can get a really good seed this yr (b/c dallas and spurs are not the same). and i'm sure in another month, when we're healthy, we'll be clicking.

since we're not gonna pick up anyone better by trading him, why not wait and see what he does in the playoffs. #s don't lie. dude brings his play to another level in the playoffs.

    Situation with Tracy is EASY

I mean, he just doesn't care about regular season. He has shown he can do it all, he can score, pass, etc. And what? Regular season really doesn't matter.

Even if he is going to score 30 ppg which he is capable of, people will still blame him and he still won't be satisfied, because of another 1st round exit. How he is doing what it takes to help the team win in the regular season.

Playoffs is really that time when we can see the reall T-Mac. He doesn't care if other ones are playing well. He just goes out there and tries to drop as many points as he can, he just does everything it takes to get out of the 1st round. McGrady needs a CHAMPIONSHIP

He really doesn't care about rs.
