T-Mac for Baron Davis? (Update from Sporting News)

Well it looks like the deal should be happening, usually if they dont report
it on Hoopsworld, but they do on other sites it usually happens LOL

 

I'm guessing that the Clips will require us to take on Kaman in this deal. Here's the contract situations for the two guys in question:

Baron Davis
2009/2010: $12,150,000
2010/2011: $13,050,000
2011/2012: $13,950,000
2012/2013: $14,850,000

Chris Kaman
2009/2010: $10,400,000
2010/2011: $11,300,000
2011/2012: $12,200,000

 

McGrady for Davis and Camby works very well too

Even toss in $3 million of Les' cash.

Kaman will be a more than suitable Backup than Yao...hell some nights he might even be better than Yao. Even if Kaman's hurt we still have Deke and Small Ball...and Small ball will be much easier with Baron and Wafer.

Why would the Clippers do this? Is Baron not working out in LA?

 

It's still up in the air whether or not the Clips want to deal Camby. It's a slam dunk if Houston can guy him and Davis in this deal. Otherwise, Kaman is redundant with Yao already locked in.

Camby, Gordon The Only Untouchable Clippers?

Clippers coach and general manager Mike Dunleavy Sr. has repeatedly said that center Marcus Camby isn't available.

Camby has two years left on his contract, which the Clippers acquired from the Nuggets last July.

On Tuesday, an executive suggested that rookie guard Eric Gordon is the only player that Los Angeles considers "untouchable."

On that NBA trade machine, this trade works straight up for McGrady. It says our wins would decrease by one. Replace Kaman with Camby and our wins increase by 5. Not that it is an exact science or anything...

 

No, not at all, conflicts with Coach Dunleavy, not sure what about though.
