Do we really want another chucker?

He's notorious for throwing up horrible three-pointers, and he consistently has bad 3-point %'s.

I mean, even Rafer Alston has a better 3-point % than Baron over the course of their careers.

So you would effectively put yourself out of contention for a shot at Wade?

I think we have a pretty good team right now just standing pat. So if that is what you consider out of contention, sure.

Look, I said I am good with Baron Davis. I just dont want Kaman in the deal.

Well if it's Kneemac for Baron you'd have to do it considering Baron's downside = Rafer's upside. He's capable of star quality play, on the level of Yao and Artest. Plus if they throw in a quality big man in Kaman/Camby you have to take it. We're not getting anything better than that for Kneemac's contract next season anyway. And the new guys can still help our team while we still have Artest this season. This move definitely improves our team.

    B Diddy
    Kaman/Camby

    for

    Tracy
    Rafer Alston

    It works salary wise.

This is a heckuva quote, eh: I'm told that the Rockets are unwilling to take on Davis' contract even if the Clippers were prepared to structure a deal in which they took back Tracy McGrady, who will be 30 next season when he's due to earn $23 million while trying to make the never-easy comeback from microfracture knee surgery.

So, Houston is unwilling to take Baron's contract? I'm a bit disappointed... Though, it probably the right move.

I think we are standing pat. Or something small like Luther Head for future draft considerations.

This would have been a hell of a trade!

BD has the heart that this team has been lacking all season.

Theres the end of that. Dont expect much now at the deadline. Maybe just a trade of Luther Head. Minus well lock this one up!

I am perfectly happy standing pat.

No need to hamstring us with a bad contract for another SF3 style player.

Guys, do not believe what ESPN says, this deal could still happen if it makes sense for both parties.

I could see them both going to bed thinking hard about it.

Heck, make it BD and Kamen + a 1 and 2 for TMac and Rafe; Rox get big TE and a very good asset in Kamen for when he is healthy over the summer.

I hope morey/Les would reconsider if LA would do davis for t-mac. this is an easy way to get that point guard the team needs.
