the last 2 seasons with the warriors Baron scored 1,200 + pts a season....this year it's only up to 613. the last season with the warriors he had 1,791 pts. His highest of his career during a season.

maybe is was because of he was on a sucky team.

When Baron wants to play (aka on a Good Team/Team with a chance) he will play. Guy is a straight stud.

With this Rockets team with Baron, Yao, Artest OR Carter. We can do A LOT of damage come playoff time.

Risky? compared to Tracy's contract this is reasonable.

Not true. He staged the whole surgery thing to block a trade. So someone must want him.

If Morey is going after Baron Davis, he has to see something stand out in all the analysis and statistics the Rockets do.

the thing that worries me the most is the fact that baron is made of glass like tmac. i can see him excelling in adelman's system but if we have to take on a contract like kaman's to get this deal done then our franchise is pretty much set in stone with those 2 contracts.

Les said He would like the Rockets to decrease TOs and sloppy plays. A good solid PG might fix it.

ok lets put it this way. Rockets can take a Gamble and roll it out to see if some other kind of formula works with Baron, Artest, Yao. Plus amazing bench.

    or

    We sit on Tmac.

Do we sign Artest in the Offseason ? Maybe not.

We let Tmacs contract expire - Who do we get? Obviously not Lebron, Wade, Bosh, Amare, Dirk, -- So maybe a Joe Johnson ? I dont see him leaving the Hawks.

I don't see us waiting for 2 years and praying for a superstar to fall right into our lap. I see us doing some kind of deal.

I am not sure if I want to do this trade, but just think in term of money. Tmac is 32M waste of money (half of this season and the whole next season) if we keep him. It's half of BD's contract already.

i'd like a 3rd scorer on my team. i mean, now that t-mac is out we basically have the same kind of line up last year and instead of yao-mcgrady duo, we have yao-artest duo, which had not been successful at all. the reason artest was brought in here was to give us a 3rd option. now that t-mac is out, we are back to square one. i'm fine with baron on the team.

They should throw Al Thornton into the deal someway I wouldn't mind him in a Rockets uniform.

the more i think about the more i wonder why people feel baron's contract is bloated? sure it is not an amazing bargain and it does run til he is 35 but it's about on par with a pg of his talent level. the only thing about this trade that worries me is kaman's deal which is definitely bloated.

I don't see why the Clippers wouldn't take this deal... they are tanking the rest of the season... why not get rid of two long term contracts and position yourself for the upcoming trade extravaganza...

I've heard from people who have worked with him at other teams that he's one of the worst in terms of connecting with the fans, basically typical superstar mentality.

Would go to fan-centered events with his iPod on, wouldnt talk with the fans, basically with a "let's get this over with" mentality....

McGrady just seemed to avoid those events, but that's the lesser of two evils.

I have a hard time siding with him on the coming to the playoffs hung over situation with Golden State.
