    1) Baron is playing terribly
    2) Baron has no commitment to his team (see going out drinking the night before a playoff game)
    3) Baron has a huge ego. Total A-hole off the court.

I'd rather stick around with Rafer. At the very least, hes an expert on running an offense centered around getting Yao the ball.

Don't you think we need that now, more than ever?

Heads up guys.. I emailed Sean Deveny at Sporting News and he just replied back to me

    "Hi Sean,
I must say that your article regarding Davis for McGrady has our Rocket's community excited beyond belief and your name has been mentioned many times. Is there any further light you might shed on this deal for us (i.e. reliability of source, other players involved, etc)? Most imporantly, what are the chance you think this deal will go through?
    Thank you!"

    His response:

"Sure, Lee ... It appears that the Rockets are trying to make it work and the Clippers are less interested. Stay tuned.

not that much info.. but every little bit helps us curious fans right??

Yeah, I am kind of in the 10% change range right now. Les really wants to be a player in 2010. And for some reason, he is still commited to Tmac...a guy who didnt tell you about his decision for season ending surgery. He told the media.

Thats a guy I want to show loyalty to...

how can anyone complain about this deal?
we get a premier scorer and one of the best players at his position (which by the way is our weakest position and has been for sometime)

and we give up the one person everyone has hated on for so long and has no future in a rockets uniform

this sounds too good to be true, it probably is unless morey is a genius

I would love to see this happen. Hopefully, Morey can get something like this done. It is going to be a long night.

Clippers have no excuse to say no to the deal after the 40pts beating by Phoenix.

Pull Luther out of the deal! No wonder they're less interested. McGrady for Davis and Kaman or other filller. Deal or no deal Clippers? If no deal, have fun paying 65 million to an uncomitted player for the next 4 years.

We really should not do this deal not matter how much we all hate T-mac.

    Let's look at Baron Davis:

    1. We are really looking for a better-than-Rafer Pure Point Guard -who-knows-when-not-to-jack-up-3s.

    2. Long Dumb Expensive contract.

2 things that we don't need.

But we also have to factor in, the chances if he can fit in well, he might be able to get us deep into the playoffs.

These are the things Management has to weight in. And we may not get such a great opportunity in the future to sign a above average point guard.

Someone should tell Baron to go out and play horrible tonight, that will remind the Clips what situation they are in...either have Tmac's contract or Baron's...and Baron will get less tradeable next season as Tmac will be VERY tradeable next season...Its a win win for both teams, Clips aren't going anywhere ANYTIME soon.

yea, i don't see how this is so incomprehensible. it's much easier to see houston balking at this deal.

Those are two things we dont need when we have a healthy mcgrady but when you dont have another great scorer by Yao then yes we need someone who shoots the ball more and we need an upgrade over rafer. Thats why i say take the deal but yes i agree that management really needs to look at it first.

you are right we do need a good 3rd scorer, but this move is very very risky with just a day before the trade deadline and if we act on our impulsive decision we could be screwed in the future.
