Sadly they have :( Reported there was a chance at a three way deal between NJ, Houston, and LAC.

Dont know if that means we are no longer pursuing him either?

What contending teams need a true center? I doubt a lottery bound team would want to take on Kaman's contract.

Face it. The Rockets weakest spot is PG position. This trade is perfect! Rockets would be stacked at all positions. And There aren't that many elite Big PGs in the league with experience. BD has made it to the 2nd round!

If you are trying to win now Davis clearly helps our team, especially if we don't ship Ron out. Davis would put the clutch back into Clutch City. If this rumor about Manu being seriously injured has any truth to it, then that means the West is wide open this year...well, wide open for someone to challenge LA. I still think a PG that can score would make a tremendous impact next to Yao.

That contract is a beast though....not the yearly amount but just the years. But the dude is only 29.

Well the ESPN article says it would be a 3way that sends VC to them, why wouldnt we just swap cousins? and cut Clips out of the deal? Well maybe we send Kaman to a third team for a decent guard. Ok its making sense.

I'm not sure why some people are so against the deal... The rockets are in it to win it RIGHT now.. Screw waiting for some superstar pick up down the road that may not even happen.

If the clippers are dumb enough to trade BD and (Kaman or Camby) for Tmac (basically nothing) then I'm all for it. We pick up parts that we are actually in need of (ie a pg and a back up C)

No one but LAC liked the deal. Hope something still gets done between Houston and LAC. We'll see.

Why wouldnt we just flip Kaman for someone that helps our team? And Camby isnt going anywhere.

Exactly...team has been looking for more size and better point guard play...and it's sitting right there waiting for us with how desperate the Clips seem to get rid of Baron and Kaman.

Because he is playing for the clips. He will pick his game up going to a playoff contention team.

And tmac is nothing. I would rather have an extra player going into the playoffs than in injured p***y "superstar"

baron is unhappy at work and his play reflects it. if you put him in a better situation like the rockets have, he will be happy and resume elite point guard status.

We're also not getting Wade or Lebron... the only guy we have a shot at getting in 2010 is C.Bosh...seeing as how he's from Texas and he might like to play here. If we aren't getting any of those 3 then no one like Joe Johnson isn't going to elevate this team.

    Having a lineup of

    Baron
    Battier
    Artest
    Scola
    Yao

Is better than letting Artest walk and having a possible 2010 lineup of

    Brooks
    Joe Johnson
    Older Battier
    older Scola
    Older Yao

All these people wanting Joe Johnson so bad... If Tmac near his prime wasn't able to get us outta the first round...what makes everyone think Joe Johnson will be when Tmac was a better player than Joe Johnson?

The article also claimed there was a Carter-McGrady deal on the tables that died once the news McGrady needed microfracture came out.
