tracy + some fillers for davis and camby would be sick!

for one, we wont be getting rid of ron artest. second, finally a legit backup center which can give yao a lot a rest so he can dominate when he plays. and third, baron davis who you know has the talent is a total upgrade from the inconsistent rafer. i think baron would fit here quite well. i'd j*zz in my pants if this happened.

This doesnt necessarily have to do with the exact Davis for McGrady trade but according to BSPN, but the Clips arent looking to dump salary, and any deal they do would have to improve their team.

Would you take Kaman if it meant a deal for Davis for McGrady?

Kaman will be a good backup Center. I would still do it, Kaman isn't a trash player. He's far from being a bad player and on some nights, he's very good.

I think that's what it would have to be, Kaman and Davis for T-Mac and a possible throw in or 2. I'm not sure I would do it, but I wouldn't question it if Morey did.

Has there been any commentary from Morey this afternoon re: McGrady? Obviously your first instinct is to take them at face value when they emphatically say Tracy's staying as they did last night and this morning, but at that point, they technically hadn't been informed that he was officially having the microfracture surgery. (I'm sure they knew the situation, but of course they couldn't go on the record about it.)

I'm just curious if the timeline of Tracy's announcement(s) could give the Rockets a scenario of plausible deniability, i.e. "when we said that, we were thinking he could return for the playoffs!" (which they did say)

I also agree that Feigan's blog response, assuming you guys are talking about the one from this morning, seems like standard journalist speculation and not something from a source.

Yeah, if he's healthy (potential big if), he's actually one of the better true centers in the league right now.

Kaman is averaging 15 points, 12 rebounds, and nearly 3 bpg...he will HELP this team out not hurt it.

If he brings his injur problems here then at least we can run small ball with Bdiddy. We've been running small ball when Yao goes to the bench anyways.

From a basketball point of view,he is a good player. He does not fit in as a backup center. He will want starter minutes or close to around 30 mins. There is no way,he would be willing to get just around 14-15 mins a night.

Yeah, it would be nice to have a solid backup for Yao so they can keep him nice and rested though. Kaman and Yao on the court together could be interesting.

Sorry, he makes too much money to be a backup center. I don't see how that helps us. I don't think he's even cleared to play yet.

Any deal that brings hungry players to the team and gets TMac out of H-Town is welcome.

this cant be true getting baron davis for tmac. baron davis is the type of point guard that would excel in rick adelman offense he can do it all and when it comes playoff time hes a beast. off course comes down to health

How does it hurt us? Also if he's okay to be a backup then he's going to play backup. The only way he can complain about mins is if he thinks he's better than Yao.
